I'd take a guess people are refusing you for your gear more than anything.

I mean it's not terrible, but your accessories could use some love.

I did this fight last night and the warrior died during the snakes(dragon snakes? What are those things?) three times. Bad WAR? Maybe. Only proves the class doesn't matter if the player is an idiot(though in fairness to this particular case, he wasn't; I'm still trying to figure out how it was that he died so many times).

So far, I've yet to be refused for any content. You people need to man up and cut the waterworks already.

Going to Lul so hard when they do buff DRK due to all the crying, but you'll have the people who are extremely pro at the class become DRK God's. People often say it can do as well as a warrior but it's harder to play. All that tells me is that it can do as well as a warrior and takes a skilled player to play.

To be fair, looking around the forums and seeing people post, I wouldn't take a lot of them as DRK, either.

Just in the last week alone, I've seen people claim Blood Price doesn't work while in Grit, or that STR improves return on MP. I've seen the endless threads begging for changes that make absolutely no sense in the context of the class, or the game.

Right now, if you have two terrible tanks you have to take on a run for some reason, they are better off on WAR or PLD.

Yes, the class has bugs. Also yes, most people playing it are not good.

DRK needs a buff, but that doesn't mean the class is unplayable at the moment and Square has a good history with class balancing. They wont overbuff it.

My first time in Bis Ex at about 13k hp iirc, I was getting slaughtered by the snakes. This was with full Defiance, and popping Inner Beast every time it popped (except when Unchained was up with Bloodbath). I was using every CD.. hammering down on Equilibrium and Second Wind pretty often, praying for survival. I even maintained SP full time.

It might have been the Warrior.. but it might have been the healer assigned to him.

Worth noting last night I went in though at 14k and I matched up Berserk with Deliverance and Bloodbath for delicious triple Fell Cleave and I felt perfectly safe.

So'sanuwa/Ul'sanuwa in Bis EX just hit like a truck. They frequently cast Tidal Wave/Dry Fin, which hits for 6~7k unmitigated, and do 1~2k-ish autos, on top of random 800-ish damage from Vacuum Wave. Fortunately, they don't do any of this while casting Dead Water and once this phase is over there's very little tank damage going out for the rest of the fight.

I believe Tidal Wave/Dry Fin are actually magical, so Dark Mind would be good for them as long as you have the rhythm down.

I've had DRK/PLD/WAR co-tanks and they all seem to be as squishy as the last. It's just how that phase of the fight works.

I find tanking the pair of adds in last phase to be way more brutal than the snakes. On my first clear, I went full Vit cause I felt so squishy.. I got up to 20k hp. Full time Defiance on them. I ran out of CDs and still died at 20k hp. It's mostly when healers have to handle the things (dragonkillers?). Last night I only picked up lone add thankfully, and the Drk died in the same spot. He also lamented how painful that part is. No one else seems to have issues though there it seems.

IIRC, the big add is the only one that actually hits hard, as I tank the small adds in Deliverance without issue - but whenever I picked up the big + small add combo, even with Vengeance, I was getting hit like a truck. You can either have your group nuke the big add, kill the small caster and then have the tank who had the caster pick up the other small add to separate damage, or AOE down all 3. I prefer the first 2 options because I think it makes the damage intake smoother, but whatever works works.
