think they want you to play the game a bit before heading into lvl 60 duty finder....seems pretty sound reasoning if you ask me.

You must have never played Vanilla WoW. Also you can easily do Leves. They are questsEQ2, World of Warcraft, Neverwinter, ESO. None have dead spots where you have to grind anything and that's just off the top of my half asleep head.
Fates give crap xp, dungeons are giving me a headache because I keep getting either squishy speedrun tanks or things like double bard that can't kill anything fast enough(nidhogg with two terrible bards...).
1) So the OP wants each level handed to him on a silver platter of only 1 of many forms of gaining experience and considers anything less a grind? Roflmao obviously never had to work for anything in life. Sure it takes a bit of time, but that's the point of an MMO; they are time sinks. This game has way more payout for time grinded (as long as you know what you are doing) than many other MMOs and RPGs I've played.
2) Fates could use an exp buff yes, but for those people thinking dungeons give crap experience, you obviously didn't pay attention to the total experience gained from the new dungeons. You get 250k for Dusk Vigil or Sohm AL, and upwards of 400-500k for Aery, Vault, Gubal per run. If it takes 2.5 million exp to level, at most that is 5-6 runs of a dungeon. That's waaaaaay more than 1/30th of a level. Hell, going to 60 takes 3.888 million exp, which means what, 8-9 dungeon runs if no experience is gained from any quests? that's still not much grinding.
3) Roulettes give a daily bonus of roughly 300-400k experience for high level and MSQ roulette (haven't personally tested low yet at 50+) which equates to about the same as a 51+ dungeon run. Do you roulettes, do your challenge logs because fates, dungeons, and comms scale nicely with level and honestly can be faster than questing anyways.

I think a lot of you not running out of quests had capped rest xp.
I had none. I was leveling combat jobs right up to early access. Then went to AST rather than my bard.
1.5 million exp is like five Library runs. About 2.5 hours' work - as grinds go this is trivial. And not saving up rested exp when you knew you were going to need millions upon millions of exp in a few days' time was your choice. For me, I cleared the sidequests in each area and did 4-8 runs of the relevant dungeon and off I went. I even had fun doing it, nonetheless, because the new dungeons are fun. The journey is part of the game too, not just the act of hitting 60.
The game has overcomplicated leveling at lvl 47, even tho i am logged on all day i end up doing more entertaining stuff than playing FFXIV, leaves are tedious and dungeon dont give enough experience, dont think i will subscribe again because of that issue, its not worth my time.
That could be it too, well I did plan out so that all my other classes are leveled months before HW early access, getting 50-60 doesn't even use up all my rested xp either so it's helps for my other classes as well.
As we have seen in ARR, leveling always consist of a mix of quests, leve, FATE and dungeons, it doesn't want you to just stick to one thing and level from it, it wants you to explore and do other things, which I find is good, but I guess some people might not like it. It was make more compact in HW as you can level through quests and better if you mix in some dungeons in between, things like FATE, leve are totally not needed at all.
Do your roulettes man. I easily leveled from 58->59 simply by doing all the quests and a few roulettes.
Wow. Someone actually complains about leveling in a game where you can get to max level in less than 2 weeks the contents that is supposed to last for months. People and even yourself got 50-60 in less than 2 week after the expansion released and you still want it to get faster?
Not wanna do dungeons nor roulette nor fate, then you might as well quit lol.
