    Except there are certain mechanics that are like conal -> circle right next to it or whatever. Being locked on can be a liability that's why it just seems like a no brainer to use awareness just in case. It depends on the fight though it's not like you can't change CC skills.

    You don't need to lock on to use strafe. By default it's Q and E, which you can change to A and D or use the Standard control setting.
