Any full dps non-support dps physical range class which is not gimped by cast time.
I want a Beast Master Class that can tame monsters and keep them not just tame them for a temporary amount of time.... or the jug bs from ffxi.
HELL yes! Kill two birds with one stone. I like it.
Too bad this is extremely unlikely to happen with how they're phasing out classes entirely in favor of jobs-only...
DNC would have tickled my fancy when my character was a female, now that I'm a dude though.. probably SAM. I'd be all over Samurai. I just hope they don't make it a tank the way they almost did in FFXI.
I really wanted THF, but Yoshi made it pretty clear he has no interest in developing it because "they're bad people and the town wouldn't like them" or something to that effect.
**In response to the above post. That would be super awesome, but I don't think SE is doing that type of stuff or planning on offering "specs" the way other MMOs do. Kind a shame, but we get a lot more *new* jobs instead, which is pretty cool too.
I agree with you on the "spec" thing. But I feel like the Arcanist path is the best way to go and giving you branching choices or give you the option to do both if you felt so inclined.
if it heals i want it
healing is my PASSION
not because im incompetent tanking/dpsing no nothing like that... o_o
I'd like to see samurai (tank or dps, don't really care).
Would be nice to have a physical ranged pure dps job: ranger. The "support" bard has, kills it for me. They can never make it a pure dps with the utility it has. It would be 2.0 all over again with stacking bards (or machinists now).
I truly feel that Samurai if introduced would come from Doma. If this were the case, it would only makes sense that they would be Tanks as we already see the Ninja is a DPS. To believe that such a large majority of the Doman military force were only suited to only one role seems not only awkward, but also feels uninspired. Furthermore as we already have Monk as a DPS aswell, the eastern themed DPS niche seems to be well covered. I do feel sword DPS should be implemented however and would enjoy seeing some iteration of a dual wielder sword class/ job introduced. I feel Red Mage and or Blue Mage would fit the bill quite nicely. In looking at the way Astrologian was introduced, it's not out of the question that we may already be seeing new classes in the game. Ala Mhigan Shamans and Sword Dancers already exist in some fates aswell as there being supported lore about Lancers.
In short I feel sometime in the series we may see Samurai as a Tank before the next expansion. Perhaps a lead up to 4.0 addressing Ala Mhigo where we may see:
Lancer = Templar (Lance and Shield) Tank
Blade Dancer = Red/ Blue Mage (Dual Swords) DPS
Shaman = Geomancer (Axe/ Mace and Shield, Dual Axe,/ Mace, Two handed Hammer) >.> Melee Healer... Yes alot like that other game...
I's like to see Samurai, Geomancer, Onion Knight (as a reward job/class with cross abilities from all lv 50+ job/class), Wizard or Warlock, and some form of Sword Mage and/or Hunter/Beast Master.
