Samurai with the ability to go tank or dps in the same way an Arcanist can go Summoner or Scholar. Call the tank a Bushi and the dps a Ronin.
Red mage with the ability to go healer or melee dps. Call the healer a Red Wizard and the melee a Spell Fencer.
We really need some more INT classes.
A bunch of VIT/STR, a handful of DEX now, and even more MND classes. WHY NO MORE INT WHAT YOU GOT AGAINST MAGES SQUARE-ENIX.
Er..Sciene class and Math class i think.

in general: dancer and samurai (dps)
for the mage: red mage, even if i feel they need to do something different that the solo game for make it more viable.
for the craft: engineer! i hope as we get close of the empire it will become a thing!
the trouble with the mage it's what bring as mage, what new mechanic they can use for make a new mage dps :x you already have a direct damage mage and a dot/pet mage, it don't leave a lot as choice.
even if they bring the blue mage, if it play like a black mage, what the point only change the skin of the skill is idiot. Yoshida have said it, they think at what the jobs can bring and offer before decide to bring it. red mage is possible, if they play it like a melee mage, but outside this.... well.... nothing much can be added without it feel like the other one.

That is one issue I have with the game, too many war classes and not enough magic DPS classes. Healers got a third job in the expansion, a third magic healer class, but it's still 2 DPS mage classes. I love to play mages generally, but here in FF XIV it's severely limited in that area.

When I see the idea of Redmage, what can we really expect them to do that's not already covered by black mages? Only thing I can think is giving them a Rapier and make them a melee type who uses Int as its main stat. The attacks being basically increased "elemental" swords. Say basic strike could be a flame sword, following the combo the fire grows on the sword allowing branching choices of perhaps a strong single strike or a "flare" burst from the sword tip for AOE. Just my idea on it to make it something other than a Blackmage/Whitemage.

I do admit Spell Fencer from Bravely Default would be an excellent start for them to build the class up for. Not a fan of Blackmage but also the idea of a "mobile" mage in a way catches my interest.

That fits in to my idea of the Spell Fencer that I mentioned above, if you feel so inclined, look up the Spell Fencer from the game Bravely Default. It could work really well if done correctly. When I see the idea of Redmage, what can we really expect them to do that's not already covered by black mages? Plus, I think more games need a melee class that carries a single one handed melee weapon with no offhand. The one handed fighting style is definitely underdone and a red mage casting magic with a rapier could work really well.
