So you're saying a group that hit enrage is 50% because they brought a summoner instead of a black mage? It couldn't possibly be anyone else's fault? people dying? healer not dpsing enough? Tanks not dpsing enough? Of course not. it's because summoners were doing 5% less dps than blm!
Just stop now. You're making me believe the problem is you being a terrible summoner.

I am saying they could've cleared faster and easier if they brought a BLM. Also, lol @ calling me a terrible summoner. Guess randoms will stay randoms. I am also not the one crying for BLM buffs and struggling to get really high numbers with it.
It could be all those reasons AND a SMN doing less DPS. Your point ?So you're saying a group that hit enrage is 50% because they brought a summoner instead of a black mage? The difference in time to kill a target with 1 million health with a group doing 2500 dps and 2530 is 4 seconds.
I guess yes they could've killed it faster. woopdifreakingdoo, someone's cat could've caught on fire during that 4 seconds. i'm glad black mages were here to save the situation!

You claimed nobody would bring [INSERTPERCEIVEDWORSECASTERHERE] to progression because 1% is the difference between wiping. Hallena countered that people did indeed clear progression content near release with [INSERTPERCEIVEDWORSECASTERHERE] and you changed your argument to "Yeah well that doesn't mean they didn't wipe." Parties with [INSERTBETTERCASTERHERE] wiped as well. It's all well and good to point to DPS from parses on dummies for theorycrafting purposes, but that's only under 100% perfect play that will RARELY be achieved. What matters far more than whatever silly theorycrafted perfect circumstantial DPS is the player's ability to play their job and adapt to the party's playstyle, while you are trying to view a dummy-parsed DPS in a vacuum. All jobs are viable and all are likely going to clear Alex in progression groups. People are way overblowing how bad jobs are right now when they really only need a few tweaks.
