Yeah I'm really quite underwhelmed by the new tactics and dissipation skills. I can see casual players having fun with them in a dungeon but for raids with double healer they are not very useful.

jesus christ this thread.
ET has been given to us to enable us to use our adlo or succor in succession.
why the hell want some people use ET plus swiftcast to rescue a tank, just use your normal adlo......
if you dont need a 2nd heal after 1st succor then fine, what are you comlaining about, the content is easy enough to not need 1 2nd heal from you, good job you did it.
Reading this thread people aren't using ET properly it seems. Shields > Heals always, so you never use ET on a normal Succor or Adlo.
In 2.0 Succor spam wasn't viable before because shields didn't stack.
Succor spam is now viable with Succor + (Emergency Tactics & Succor) + Succor in heavy AoE.
In addition to everything else that has been said: Maybe mechanics that ignore shields or remove certain buffs are coming.
ET is fine. It's not really a panic button; it's for when you predict the need to restore more actual HP.
As for raids, we'll see what happens. Even if neither healer is indisposed and Galvanize isn't somehow countered or bypassed by a mechanic, the SCH being able to throw out a Medica might at least free up the WHM or AST to do something else at a key moment (or even just conserve a little MP if threatening to run low in progression).
ET is good for AOE-heals. It's nice to throw it when you know you have HP bars to fill but no further damage taken in the next 30 seconds (which is when Galvanize will wear off and bring down the effective healing to 50% of the cast).
My WHM-partner rerolled AST and it's been mostly samey sailing so far (Bismarck EX + Ravana EX under our belts only, though, raids will tell how it goes later on), but being able to support with the healing requirements a bit more now without losing too much efficiency (Indomitability) or having to spam shit (Succor spam galore) is nice.
I haven't had to use ET for Adloquiums yet, but there can be a niche for that too. You can for instance curebomb with that if need be, because even when shielding is better, some times they have veeery slight delays in application, meaning the next attack might be fatal anyway.
ET isn't bad, it's just a slightly worse alternative to Aetherflow spells with mana being the cost.
:/ Emergency Tactics is one of the better Sch additions. If anything the pig is Deployment tactics, it's just ugh, very, very niche. Should of been a skill that turns next action or actions performed in a 10s duration into an AoE with a 6-10y radius.
Back on topic though ET, "doubles" the cure potency of one of your galvanize spells every 30s, how do you not see the value in that?
Deployment Tactics niche and ugly? It's very useful for Mitigating a huge amount of damage. For example climbing bismark's back or for raid wide aoe damage such as those attacks in t13. Maybe you just don't know when to activate that skill?:/ Emergency Tactics is one of the better Sch additions. If anything the pig is Deployment tactics, it's just ugh, very, very niche.
