I'm kinda getting FF6 vibes, especially if each Van is an homage to a FF villain.

It IS interesting that some of the beastribes are actually Allagan creation. The Ixal are confirmed to be one, I am guessing the giants roaming the Mor Dhona and worship the CT are probably one as well. Perhaps the Vanu Vanu are Allagan creations as well? They were more or less tasked with keeping the key to Ayz Lla safe

As another post said: there was another, powerful, dragon that escaped it's binding over 2000 years ago

Though I am more concerned as to how/why the land near the Warring Triad looks like flesh?

You mean the 3 statues? on the quests of ravana/bismark ex, the npc said that gose beings were captured by the allagans. Its no so big surprive to find them on that "stone" state, we dont know what kind of method the allagans used on them.

Binding coils, like the ones on poor Tiamat.

I have a feeling that it's probably not a Binding Coil, simply due to the fact that they're petrified, unless they were somehow able to perfect the binding coil method and used an advance method to seal them post Bahamut?

Maybe that weird flesh-like core underneath the Warring Triad Facility/ research center is how they combined flesh with ____? It might explain why Xande, Amon, and co all look like giant flesh-magitek hybrid.

Either way, it certainly gives a new definition of "The land's alive"

Now that I look again, the rings around the Triad and the ones binding Tiamat aren't the same. In any event, I'd wager they are likely a precursor to the system implemented by Dalamud. There's no way that either system's output can be more powerful, after all, or Dalamud would never have been necessary for Xande's voidgate.

I'm debating whether it would be better to simply compartmentalize any points brought up only in the CT storyline outside of canon for the time being, since Cid and the Ironworks crew have now been confirmed as having been working nonstop on something completely different in the time since the Praetorium, and Azys Lla itself is just too ironic.
