That'd entirely depend on us plucking the eye back out of Nidhogg's head again. He did reassume his full form, after all.I agree, I don't think Lahabrea is necessarily dead, just trapped in the Eye, much as we did to Nabriales and Igeyorhm (the former of which almost broke out of the white auracite, despite his weakened state). That said, I'm getting the feeling that he could escape the moment someone uses the Eye as a way to release the aether within (like the Aetheric Ram or blade of light), and by that point he may have absorbed a fair amount amount of Nidhogg's aether. Of course, that's assuming aether in the Eyes is stored over time and not simply consumed.
There are more black robed ones with generic names in the Summoner 50-60 quests. Blah Blah of the 12th Chalice etc. Killed 5 of them in the 60 quest alone (although probably not dead dead). Team Rocket of the bad guys.I think they have a grand plan to release Zodiark but some of them have different views on how to make that happen. Even the Ascian's have an Ego.
There are 13 Black Robe Ascian + Elidibus. We have only met 3 of them though. All 3 of which are now dead.
Loghrif
Mitron
Emet-Selch
Pashtarot
Fandaniel
Altima - Seen in a Cut scene
Halmarut
Nabriales - Dead
Igeyorhm - Dead
Deudalaphon
Emmerololth - Seen in a Cut scene
Lahabrea - Dead
Im not convinced that Elidibus is even an Ascian to begin with.
"Ascian of the 12th Chalice," "Ascian of the 12th Sword," "Ascian of the 12th Pentacle," and "Ascian of the 12th Wand." They're the lowest ranked of the Ascians (we've fought members of that rank before) and their ranking convention follows Tarot cards of the Minor Arcana.
If he is indeed still alive within the eye then there are several different ways they could go with the character from here. I imagine we'll be pursuing Nidhogg in an attempt to free Estinien; it would be an interesting twist to have us rescue him only to discover Lahabrea hitched a ride in his body on the way out.I agree, I don't think Lahabrea is necessarily dead, just trapped in the Eye, much as we did to Nabriales and Igeyorhm (the former of which almost broke out of the white auracite, despite his weakened state). To expand on this, each 'house' of lesser Ascians each follow one of the primary ones. Those of the 12th Chalice are confirmed to follow Lahabrea in the SMN 60 quest. We were also informed that they do not have the ability to retreat to the Ascian HQ between worlds and they cannot possess living hosts (only dead ones) which means killing a lesser Ascian with no corpses around to switch to will actually kill them permanently."Ascian of the 12th Chalice," "Ascian of the 12th Sword," "Ascian of the 12th Pentacle," and "Ascian of the 12th Wand." Nah I am sure Lahabrea is dead. Good riddance I say. After beating him up so often I can't really take him seriously as a villain. If he is indeed still alive within the eye then there are several different ways they could go with the character from here. He was slashed with a literal blade of aether.
He died with the same effect Nabriales and Igeyorhm did.
Elidibus sensed his death.
My assumption is that -some- Ascians keep wanting to make the Warrior of Light stronger, more powerful, and essentially more famous, so that when they -do- kill the Warrior of Light off, they will be able to easily convince a LOT of people, in their desperation and despair, to try to restore the Warrior of Light.
In other words, the Ascians want to make the greatest Primal ever out of us. That's my theory.
Go and re-watch the cutscene. You literally see Lahabrea's dark aether get absorbed into the eye. If he were destroyed as the others were his aether would have been outright destroyed by that of the light but it wasn't.
I really hope Lahabrea doesn't come back.
I found Igeyorhm more interesting, but much how Nero and not Livia came back, you don't usually see a female villain return.
