Or just not reply at all if they don't understand the issue and have no answer. This wasn't a request to the community for their opinions on whether EA was still ongoing or not. It's a request to SE and I hope that a mod passes it up the chain. It's terrible that a group might be locked out of playing because of shipping issues.

The only "good" thing in all this is that people won't be completely locked out (unless they log out in HW areas), old content is still accessible, so one can level a different job...
It's still sad, I hoped to ding 60 by the time Alex is unlocked, this might put a break on it.

Other factors that would keep them from logging in would be:

On a class that is HW only.
On a class that is 51+ in level.

Both of those, and being logged out in a HW area would keep them from being able to log in to the game because customs (and possibly SE) screwed something up. I agree with the request, give them a few more days SE.

My character is an Au Ra. I'm screwed as I won't be able to log-in whether in ARR or HW content.

I can confirm (Which I already knew it was gonna work the same as XI) you can still log on your Au Ra and your HW Job but can't lvl past 50 and of course, all 2.0 and 3.0 items are ready and working as intended.

Well, if that's the case, it's a very small consolation. Like getting slapped in the face instead of punched. One is just easier to take.

There's still some time left so we'll see but chances are getting thinner as time flies by.

I hope SE will extend it for those who are unable to get their physical copy yet. Good luck!
