This is a japanese game made by Japanese writers this game was localized by english people how they wanted the game to be. Do this with an Anime such as One piece or Dragon ball z Sailor moon and its no where the same as the what the author envisioned those characters to be. A true precise Japanese to English translation is the correct way the game should be translated. Doing it in this broken made up English language is imo near garbage compared to games/etc like Dragon age, Witcher series, Lord of the rings and so on.

That is now how the localization works and really just because a few people get headaches trying to understand the the characters they will redo the script so you have a second option when there are other things they can spend time on its not going to happen(and no the pirate speak was so damn annoying during the rogue questline) Also there is no such thing as a true precise translation to from a language to a different language

The devs have picked how they wanted the English to be. They are not about to spend the money or waste the effort of redoing all the text. Also it would be weird if one second they are speaking one way in the text then the next they are talking different in the voiced cutscenes. Unless you want them to re do those too.

but i don't care about voices. I use Japanese audio any ways because the english Voice acting imo is trash.

The language in this game is no more complex than what you're required to read in high school English classes.

i have a good exemple of extreme localization that was push too far.... the french localization of some anime like Hokuto no ken or city hunter, it's good to try to make the game more.... deep, but i'm with some that are against the fact to change the script because: the dragon are old and don't talk like this. forgeting that the japense version of the dragon talk almost normally.
it's not at the localization team to decide the sense of the sentence or how talk people, if they want to add old english, why not, but the fact to change what say the npc for add flavor i'm clearly against it. it's quite rude in a way for the author.

i wonder how tolkien will have react if some people that have done the translation of him book will have change the way to speak of the character for add flavor.
