please why won't ppl read this thread? they are not trying to remove or change the language but add an option for people who Don't like that olde language

I never said they would remove what they have now...

In order for them to create what the OP has asked for that means a team would have to redo all the text. As in go through and retype it in "normal" English and make sure it makes sense and fits with the lore.

But on a more serious note, it's done deliberately for stylistic reasons, and I doubt they're going to change it. Would you rather have the horribly butchered All Your Base Are Belong To Us type translations?

Im sure you have. Im sure there is probably much worse. But comparing this to actual novels and media/movies and games based in a similar "time setting" This is not good in any way. Is that what we as gamers do now? Accept mediocre stuff because its just fine? Or do we ask for better? Or are we okay with just fine?

Is horribly done and annoying to read. I have several times given you several examples of games and movies that have done this old school language right. This is done wrong it gives me a headache and hard to follow because it is so horribly done. Do I Have this issue with LOTR, Witcher, Dragon Age, Final Fantasy Tactics? Nope I do not.

because its easier for you to understand than me its okay despite the fact this language is horribly done to actual written Novels. Do I need to grab a game of descent Board game text and read it to you of what actual good written old style language is that carries emotion and weight or plenty of other medieval novels? Do it right or don't do it at all.

That's not Old English. Old English is completely unintelligable to a modern English speaker. It has a lot of letters that don't even exist in our alphabet today. Even Middle English is mostly unintelligeable to a modern English speaker. Old English is much closer to Dutch than English. What most people think of as "Old English" (with the thee's and thou's) is in fact early modern English (which is what Shakespeare used). Here's an example of some text in actual Old English.

Never played Vagrant Story so there is no way I can't hate on it. Regardless I Have posted several Games and media that do the job right. Here its just bad and annoying. I said this was just a minor complaint but instead people try to be rude and make off hand marks trying to insult others and basically saying its fine deal with it, go get a book. In fact most post on this thread have been utterly useless and haven't even bother to "read" the 1st post or bring anything useful here.
