So you don't mind leaving a run 10 mins in after waiting in queue for 40 mins? Synchronization can also get better the more the group runs together. So even if they have a rocky start, perhaps 30 minutes down the line they down the boss.As for me it's simple.
Have you play Dota or LOL? it's all about the synergy, sync and chemistry.
I'm more prefer to abandon the current duty and try again with other player who have same synergy with me.
Less stress, different people have different approach, it's not about experience or gear, congeniality only matters.
I think people are willing to stay in fights if everyone in the party is pulling their own weight and mistakes only happen if someone slips up (which I admit to doing every so often. It's only human). If it's very evident that one or more people are expecting the party to carry them through content, then people will be quick to leave (no one has patience for lazy players/leeches).
I'm never leave any duty, what I mean is vote abandon after 15 mins. That's how Masamune culture, actually I don't like stay on failing team for a long time it will stress me out (I'm not saying that I'm good). I don't mind queue again and it's not that long, the hard content for me only coils.
For primal extreme like Titan, Garuda & Ifrit mostly went smooth. The only thing I don't like is RNG drop rates. And btw haven't unlock others yet still ongoing with my MSQ so no comment about the rest of the primals.

Need 3-5 tries before determining if a group can't succeed at something imo.
Because the odds of your group of all groups being the special snowflake that actually learns from mistakes and doesn't continually wipe to the same crap over and over like hundreds of other groups we've already wasted our time on are astronomically slim.
To be honest, the thing that gets me is when people quit when things are going well. That I really don't understand. "Well, we got to last phase in this hard piece of content with a bunch of strangers, with just a few tweaks, we can get a kill. Time to get a 30 min pen!" Is this how they think?
That's probably they can be doing something outside of the game that has guaranteed progress. Like work, errands, assignments, other entertainment. Getting some of that done is better than attempting a fight you're very sure you won't win with that group.I waited 37 minutes in queue for that...I don't understand DPS who are so quick to leave when the queue times suck that much. Isn't it worth it to at least try instead of leaving and waiting another 30 minutes? I don't get it. Had a group earlier today that split too when it was clear we had what it took to win the fight(we got it to 20% without much issue.) Why are people so impatient and cowardly? If they think their time so valuable, wouldn't they stay rather than leave the queue and wait again?
Boss remaining HP on wipe is sometimes not indicative of the group's potential clearing ability either. Sometimes there are things that people notice that you don't that makes them believe the group is not going to be able to clear it. Maybe you thought the party looked pretty much in good health until that 20% but that person who quit saw that that 20% took too long and the party wouldnt make it at that pace (which is harder to rectify since it's about dps). Maybe they saw someone performing abyssmally and either didn't want to help that player win or didn't want to bother with the drama for pointing it out if that player is causing the wipe or possible wipe.
Yes this is what I mean...That's probably they can be doing something outside of the game that has guaranteed progress. Like work, errands, assignments, other entertainment. Getting some of that done is better than attempting a fight you're very sure you won't win with that group.

Don't really get what's difficult to understand... if you join a party and it's obvious from the start that people have absolutely no idea what's going on, what is the point of sticking around
If it's a wipe to something genuine, and people step up and admit what went wrong and why, (ie they know what went wrong) its fine to try again, under the assumption if they know what went wrong it's unlikely to happen again... but if they don't, people wipe to stupid stuff, or don't know why they wiped, start blaming others or blaming the wipe on something that isn't the case at all... it's a lost cause
oh and of course... if someone says "lag", leave asap... 99% time it's not lag and you will be there without ever getting a down
If you join a learning party expecting a clear, I don't know what you're doing with your life.
