Why are people leaving after one or two tries, especially in a fight with Echo, only to queue back as soon as the group is disbanded ?

Unless it's a complete disaster I don't see the point, the more you try the more the members of your party get used to the fight (and additionally your stats are increased with echo).
When you leave you pretty much try your luck hoping to get into an overgeared party, but most of the time you'll get back to square one.

What's worse is that I see this the most with dps. I thought the wait time were atrocious ?
Even though I rarely wait more than five minutes as tank I never give up on a group, shouldn't the 30 minutes wait motivate people to try harder ?

It's a bit disheartening to go through like five different groups to beat the Chrysalis because people leave after the first wipe, or running Titan hard for hours because people leave with 30% echo only to end up 5 min later with them in another group, but without echo.

Sorry for the rant, but I really hope players won't be like that with the new fights when the expansion comes around.

I don't know, it's a bit hit and miss. Some people want either a quick run or a quick carry. But I've also had groups willing to stay until the end of the DF timer. (Oh, how much it sucks when you're <10%, stand a good chance of clearing, and then the time runs out...).

Generally, when it comes to the DF, people say throw out all your expectations. Seems solid advice. You'll get great, terribad, and just really weird.

If the group wipe 1 or 2 tries but ppl in the group show they are at least know about the fight's mechanics and know their job, then I will consider stay. If not, I rather leave and try my luck for another group than wasting my time for more wipe and build up more frustration & desperation

My 8th attempt at clearing ramuh ex just now, ended after just 2 tries. Whm went into princess mode very quickly.. at least the tanks had more patience.

The trick with the hard mode primals is to hit them in a window when they're in "bonus" - that is, granting double the lights to people working on relic weapons. You're going to roll in with at least 5-6 people who have done the fight a hundred times and can do it in their sleep. Garuda HM in light bonus survives all of two minutes. Titan HM in light bonus takes about 5 minutes because there's more dodging involved.

There are some fights that aren't possible unless most of the party is at least half decent.

Even with the Echo on Titan EX for example, if you have a party that has 4/8 players get knocked off by landslides in the first minute you'll see the other 4 just up and leave right away because there's no hope with that many bad players, no matter what Echo bonus you have. That's not an elitist attitude. It's a case of there not being enough competent players in the group to carry the incompetent ones.

That's why I said "Unless it's a complete disaster", I just don't get people leaving for a slight fuck up.
