DPS corner of Shame

This one was just flat out depressing. Usually I play as a DRG, but I've been gearing up my PLD in anticipation of going DRK (wanted to get used to tanking).

I was tanking on my PLD and I ended up in a group with 2 SMNs as the DPS for Keeper of the Lake. Okay, fair enough. Then I noticed that fights are taking longer than I'm used to, but I just sort of shrug.

We get to the final boss, and I notice during the Mirage Dragon phase their pets are attacking the giant head. I let them know what's going on, but issue wasn't fixed. Then the Astraeia add spawned, and... We wiped because they couldn't DPS it down.

So I bring this up in my FC, and they said I should help them out next time (which is sad, considering I'm a PLD in Shield Oath).

Next run, I notice their pets still attacking the giant head during the Mirage Dragon phase, then I just say "screw it" and go hit the Astraeia when it spawned. We did manage to clear the run that time, but I was slamming my forehead into my desk.

I bring this up in my FC, and someone mentioned that they could sympathize with the SMNs since there's a lot to keep track of.

I'm no expert on SMN, but it feels like the least they could do is be able to control what target their pets are attacking. Blegh.

Went to stack for megaflare rings in t13 and accidentally used repelling shot.

A lot to keep track of? it's one button to tell your pet what to attack. If one button is too much for them, err don't run SMN
I'd suggest you find a new FC lol

Went to ST just for the lols yesterday as a MNK.

Was at Scylla happily doing my rotation till suddenly a wild ice cube tethers on me D:
I move towards the outer side of the arena, nearby my party members, but saw 2 puddles on the way, of which I still wonder why I stopped at the moment I saw them, then an AoE getting in my way for which I had to wait again, and... the cube got me way too early D:

I got frozen in the very middle of the arena where ALL the AoEs could (and did) hit me...
The healers didnt give up on me tho, and kept me alive... suffering through my shameful decision...

A lot to keep track of? it's one button to tell your pet what to attack. If one button is too much for them, err don't run SMN
I'd suggest you find a new FC lol
