Yesterday at WoD I really was quite busy tanking that floor as a MNK... geez.

At Angra, double vision, I start well
Red -> Blue -> Blue again (forgot which I was in) -> And now Im paying attention to move on on Red, but then hourglasses happen, I go to the one at a corner and... oh surprise! Double Vision! And Im standing in the middle of BLUE >:T
Dead right there. Ok that was bad luck, I gotta admit it. Altho I was a bit stupid for getting 2 stacks anyway.
Less than 5 seconds later I get a Raise, I apologyse for the trouble and start on my business again.
Once more the Hourglasses pop. As a melee DPS I tend to just face away from Angra while punching the hourglasses so I never need to worry about Mortal Gaze... but I guess it got me during the transition of one to another cuz I suddenly fell dead and saw the Doom debuff cast out... GREAT, not even 1 minute since my previous death!
I get a Raise again and once more I apologyse... then Double Vision Blue... then again Blue cuz I got trapped... and I was like "oh ffs!" RED! GOOD! Then it finally dropped dead and my torture ended... geez...

We continue and no problems arise, neither mine own mistakes nor the raid as a whole.
We reach to cerverus and at some point it we reach the sencond time it throws the Gastric Juice purple AoE and the pink... barf... thing... that grows plants...

So lets say that as a member of the C team I didnt feel like going into the belly to help the DPS there... instead I wanted to help A with the plant things... so then Cerverus is at the end with the chain pillars, barf thing is at the middle left of the arena, plant thing is being tanked in the middle right... Cerverus does a 180 turn to face right on where I was having fun punching things... I see it cast a bar, its about to dash my way... I try to move aside so I run to the left... WHY?! It was easer to avoid by running to the right!!! So as you might have guessed, I couldn't avoid, was not killed by the dash but it pushed me right on top of the barf... without being minimized... I guess you know how this goes... I just said "oh shit D:" before I was beheaded...

Sometimes I hate everything.

In phase 1 of T13, I always sit to the right of the boss after Megaflare so I can be ready to move for shakers. If I get marked, then I just Repelling Shot away and drop them next to the wall like normal. One of my raid members said that it always made him nervous when I did that, but I knew the angle and it always worked no problem. One time when I was particularly tired, I got marked for shakers. I instictively Repelling Shot away, and as soon as I hit the button I realized that my angle was WAY off. I went STRAIGHT into the wall. It went something like this.

Me: "Guys..."
Group member: "Did you just..."
Me: "It finally happened..."
Other group member: "What did you learn?"
Me: "Angles are hard."

After killing the shadow in the second phase of turn 13 and to get back to the boss quickly I used elusive jump, instead of backflipping towards Bahamut I flew straight into the wall. I have yet to understand how it happened but guess it was just the dragoon within me telling me that my brethren are calling and that I shouldn't let them down.

I couldn't agree more. I LOVE seeing threads like this for that very reason. It goes to show that everyone is human, and not some perfect machine.

As for my DPS derps... I don't got many, lol. But off the top of my head...

Elusive Jumping off the arena as a DRG during Titan HM some time long ago. Yeah, I dodged the landslide by doing that, but I may as well have just been struck, lol. Ended up adding to the 'lol derpDRG" train.

And speaking of loldrg, one run of me forgetting that Ifrit HM can be stunned as I kept adding Leg Sweeps into my combo rotation for them deeps. Then left wondering why I can't stun Ifrit to stop Eruption... and then go "oooohhhhh..." I swear, I was half-asleep during that run.

Finally, one time as a SMN in WoD, I swiftcast summon Titan-Egi by mistake instead of Ifrit-Egi. Worked out though, since the Tanks in that run were being loltanks and letting the Sacrificed Ninja run around eating the DPS and Healers.

Similarly, every time I tell some dumb person how to avoid a mechanic, or to stop sucking and dying to ______, I inevitably die to the same thing.
