DPS corner of Shame

At Wanderer's Palace HM, we were on the 2nd boss. You know that one that casts many colorful circles.
I always pick each and all and then announce in party which effect gives which color for this fight, even if I have to stop DPSing for that for a bit.

So, the first 3 circles appear, I pick up 2, and see someone else pick up the 3rd, "good!" I think, now I just have to see which effects me and the other person got!!

I got the Power Up buff and Heavy debuff, and this other person got the Fire debuff! Then I start typing... "blu... wait, which color was first? And which color did that person get?!", in my hesitation, other person asks "what was the color?" and I just type "will you believe me I forgot in 3 seconds?"

So, I didnt DPS, forgot which color was what and looked like an idiot MNK just standing there doing my battle pose yay~♪
Had to wait till the next batch of colors to actually tell which was which... as a frog... *ribbit* ¬__¬ (since I couldn't even tell which was the new color)

I had a good one tonight. Titan EX, trying to get a clear for an FCmate... and apparently I'm lagging. Badly. I got hit by a couple of Landslides that I normally shouldn't get hit by, so on the next try, I decide that rather than trying to run out to dodge the Landslide, I'm just going to run through Titan. Which would work... if I wasn't lagging.

The next thing I know, I go flying out from behind Titan's butt (in the opposite direction of the Landslide) and the entire TS is just cracking up because they all saw it happen. It was so hilariously entertaining that I couldn't even be mad.

Oh i have some:
1) T5 back in the days of the first coil, this was long time ago so the details are a bit blurry but my static still tease me about it. Our party was finally nearing the kill. When ppl started dying. So I was brave and started taking orbs as drg and died. Twin was at few %. So i was just sitting there on the edge of my chair and watching the drama. Eventually ppl started dying a lot. And i don't remember whether heal used LB3 or i got resed individually or something like that. But i was so intently watching the drama that i didn't notice that so that was a raise wasted on me. Enough to say that we missed few secs of dps for a kill before we wiped. so yeah. that was a shameful moment.

2) One of my most recent ones that i remember was few months ago - using elusive jump instead of keen flurry when placing eartshakers and back-flipping into the wall.

3) Bitching about tanks/heals trying to order me to "LB!!!!!!!!" when it would be a 100% death if i did it at that moment. and 1. Dying 2s after typing my witty response in chat 2. Typing my witty response, losing focus and LB-ing into death.

4) Not pure dps thing, but i was dps at the time. doing my relic quest light grinding at some stage. after an hour or 2 of grind i realized i don't have my relic wep equipped. #lifeWasted

Amdapor Keep HM, I was a BLM. The final boss was down to maybe 5% or so. I tabbed my cross bars wrong and tried to use the wrong skill because of it (I tried to cast apocatastatics on the boss, and my apo skill is macroed so the the whole party got a party chat message that I was targeting the boss for apocatastatics, lol.) I tunnel visioned for a moment while trying to get to the right skill, then noticed my HP was draining fast because a blue spinning scythe had spawned under me while trying to fix my bar. I panicked and tabbed bars wrong *again* while moving out of the aoe and hit the wrong skills again because of it. lol. I didn't die, but it was a sloppy and embarrassing last 8 seconds or so of what was otherwise a very smooth run.

Anytime I'm playing as a bard, the party/alliance is lining up to fight a boss, I press the target select/confirm button to lock the boss as my target, but accidentally DOUBLE click the select/confirm button - which causes my character to auto attack. NOOOOOOOOOOooooooo, I'm sorry, that early pull was not intentional, I swear. Or just as bad, I forget to turn foe requiem off after the last fight and it's still on as we're entering the boss's room and I stray a little too close to the boss and it agros on me due to getting the foe debuff. DPS or healers pulling a boss before the tanks really annoys me, so I face-palm extra hard any time I accidentally do it myself. Fortunately, bard is the only class that I can do those two derps with (although that may be changing soon if machinist's auto-attack is ranged like bard's).

I was in World of Darkness as a NIN. We were lining up in the final boss's room. My Huton timer was getting low, so I started making the mudra sign combo to refresh it before the pull. Just as I start the mudra, that's when a warrior decides to charge forward, and not actually produce any hate. He ran into face pull range, then just kept running forward and didn't actually do anything to her until he reached melee range and did his first heavy swing. So there was maybe a 3/4 second gap between the face pull and first actual agro generation by this tank. I was making mudra signs. Yep, that's right, you guessed it, I ripped agro off this warrior ... with BUFF HATE. Cloud of Darkness threw a ball of black death across the room at me. Ouch. Then, worse, none of the six healers made any effort to prevent the degen from killing me. Six healers and not one of them threw so much as a single cure my way. I died. So it's only maybe 8 lousy seconds into the fight and there's already a ninja tanking the floor. Now, whether or not I really deserved to die on that one is debatable since, by all rights, the warrior should've opened with tomahawk but didn't. Regardless of who you chose to blame though, I felt like a dumb ass.

I was a DRG in Titan Extreme and learned something the hard way that wasn't emphasized in the TEX video I watched and no one ever warned me about it. It's always gaols, upheaval, landslides. If the gaol near titan is not destroyed before upheaval hits, going back to it and breaking it immediately after upheaval is risky - more often than not it will break just in time for that DPS to *NOT* be able to dodge landslides. On attempts, 1, 2, and 3, this is how I died. The other party members kept breaking my goal after upheaval but before landslide and the landslides that I had no hope of dodging killed me. Yep, 3 times in a row... then here comes my super derp. I'm sitting there thinking about how annoying that is, and on attempt 4 I did the exact same thing to one of the other dps. I busted his gaol after upheaval but before landslide, and this other dps swallowed the center of the five way landslide as titan brought his fist down on this dps head. I felt like such a dumb ass doing that to someone else immediately after watching the same thing happen to me three times in a row.

I do this all the time when I get back on Ninja after playing PLD or something. It's awful.

I had one happen to me on my Dragoon just this morning.

I had been questing and managed to reach Titan Storymode in the line; Now normally this fight isn't a big deal to me on my healer or Black mage but going at it as a melee, I decided to play safe then sorry and asked one of my guildies to come with me. He jumped on his Paladin and off we trot. Healer and my fellow DPS zone in, buffed up, and we start wailing on the Rockman. Fight going really smoothly, had no trouble with Weight of the Land or landslide...Until...
I think Titan was at around 10%ish....One bar of the LB was filled and I decide to fire off Omnislash.
Turns out, Titan didn't like that. Just as I finish, he spins around and Landslides me off the platform. Not even halfway down the rest of the group downs him. =_= Ah well. At least my guy went down screaming "I REGRET NOTHING!"

When doing my relic quest on Ninja, I decided to show off in Titan HM by using the teleport skill to cross the arena when we had the 3x3 rows of bombs. Like usual. When the first row dropped in the middle, I rotated my screen to ensure it was vertically oriented, and went to the side where the last row fell. Had marker for teleport ready even before that first row blew up. Middle row exploded, and then far right row exploded so I immediately hit teleport now that it would be a safe destination to land. And it was, for my dead body. So that's not the best use for that skill, since it didn't update my position to the new one fast enough (I thought it would be instant) to avoid damage where I was teleporting from.

As in life, pretty much any story that begins with 'I was showing off....' ends with some kind of fail.

I used to think straight shot was a better skill than heavy shot because y'know, you can clearly see you shoot 2 arrows with straight shot.....xD

Shukuchi weirdness

Yyyup, Shukuchi is no good for evasive maneuvers due to that... until animation of transition from point A to B ends, you are still considered by the server to be on A.

So, after a few days of DF waiting, I finally managed to get into AV on my MNK to finish that one target required for the Animus Books.
We start and the party manages to sneak past the first frog of the first room, but then the Healer decided it was a good idea to sit at a spot the frog would find them a minute later and chaos ensues, leading to an unnavoidable party wipe.

I say "oh well, lets retry"... but it seems my message never arrived because a wild "Connection to the server has been lost" message popped on my screen.
I checked my internet, good, pinged to google, good, servers were up? yup. Check WTFast, it lost its connection... taking down my game in a domino effect...

Okay I load the game again and manage to get in the lobby and char select, then try to get in... "Error 3102, you are still in game" message pops /)____(\!!!

The shame... I looked like that one jerk that quits after a single wipe... whyyyyyy??? OTL
