You should be rewarded for going beyond a particular crafting class to improve and diversify your skill set. It should not be require of you.

I fully agree with this sentiment. Its the reason that i am a big supporter of the downgrade in importance of Support and Skill books from required to boosters. A person should want to reach for these advantages, not be jackbooted into being forced to use them or else.
