New Scholar Attack Spell?

You forgot Bane and Energy Drain on that list.

So you are really looking at 9 - 9 if you don't include 'Other Possible move'

White Mage is just catching up.

Granted Scholars don't have a spammable 200 Potency AOE. Though Dots + Bane + Shadowflare....

Well I didnt forget Bane or Energy Drain since they aren't attack spells, granted Assize might be similar to Energy Drain but I dont know. Bane doesn't count however, since it's not a damaging spell its just a spell that spreads your DoTs, now if they made it spread aero as well then yay, but I doubt it., either way this new attack spell apparently wont have a good potency, I heard, so I hope it wont be Tri-Disaster for Scholars, lol.

Want greatly improved SCH burst large-AoE dps ->

Bane : Multiples the target's duration of your diseases by 4 and splits their duration across all enemies within 8 yalms for up to max duration on each enemy.

(Poof, can now bane to 8 enemies, albeit at only a 9-second Bio, etc.) [Can also offset the multiplier faintly or add a half-second duration before the multiplier, etc, to reduce the multiplied loss...]

Or, for true huge AoE dps -->

Bane : Equally spreads the diseases of all enemies within 10 yalms across those enemies after quadrupling the duration of each, up to their original maximum duration.
Additional Effect : applies Plague for 10 seconds. On death, enemies with plague will distribute (a multiplier of) their remaining disease duration across enemies within 6 yalms.

In other words, you could support a Bane of 4 mobs at near-full duration (same as current Bio II ~3.3s loss, Miasma ~1.8s loss) with a single set of each disease, or ~7 with two set each, ~10 with three set each, etc (this taking into effect the time lost honestly past 8 mobs you'd be better off just using Bane twice instead. In most pulls, however, you will likely just be casting a full set and then a second Bio to insure the 18s duration across up to 8 mobs, whereas the weaker Miasma and Bio II would only effectively have 10s and 12s' duration respectively across the 8 mobs with a single cast each. The Plague effect further allows the Bane less wasted DoT capacity.]

On topic: As far as new abilities go... maybe they could spread out a bit with SCH's effects on Adloquiem / Galvanize, perhaps allowing us to add a damage-reflective quality to Galvanize or even detonate it for AoE damage.

SCH is getting a New Aoe attack, So you can do DoT>Bane>ShadowFlare> Spam this new Aoe spell. Not been confirmed whether new AoE spell has a cooldown or not.

Source? It was known SCHs would get some new attack, but I hadn't heard anything specified about it, such as it being an AoE instead of a single-target attack. Interesting, if true.

While the spell looks like it has an explosive radius, it doesn't seem to be very much of one, so I wouldn't count that as an AoE yet.

Likewise to quote the Google doc you linked:

No mention of it being an AoE while other skills / spells on the list are specifically tagged as "AoE"

Sorry, but I don't count that as "confirmed" that the new attack spell is actually an AoE.

Energy Drain doesn't count because it doesn't change enmity And since it uses an Aetherflow charge you don't use it in a DPS rotation.
