Sounds to me like you are a super slow Tank. All your party members got bored because you have to make a prayer before every mobpull.

Tanking isn't really hard. Stop behaving like you have to "learn" it. If it's a mobgrp run in cast Flash a couple of times and then start to regain MP. If you see the DDs are focusing one mob, change to that mob and builld single hate for it so it won't run away. Tanking is easy.

So whats the difference between good and bad Tanks? -----> Good Tanks don't waste time.

For example I don't wait a single second after a mob dies. Sometimes I even stun it with Shild Bash if it's gonna die in the next couple of seconds and run to the next mobs (if healers MP are OK). People love this and I usually get all three VIP votes at the end of the dungeon.

Once again: Good Tanks dont waste time.

It is not wasting time to do your job to the best of your ability. This push to rush rush rush is why people shy away from tanking to begin with, amongst attitudes like yours. A good tank will talk to their group see what everyone is comfortable with. If the tank is not comfortable doing large speed run type pulls then they need to say that. I don't run my party like a dictator I take everyone into consideration. I may be considered the leader of the group but I am not the almighty. I count on them and they count on me. I will do the job in the best interest of the group. A good tank puts their team above time. For a car to operate smoothly it needs all four wheels to be turning in line, one goes loose and falls off it becomes a wreck.

Talec wasn't referring to speed runs. OP is excessively slow and overcomplicating things. She said so herself she has run the dungeons a million times and still doesn't know the maps or where to go so has to reorient herself between every kill. She has to stop to mark every mob, which takes forever on ps4 without keybinds or macro. She also says that even though she mains dps for a year she can't tell which target the tank is attacking and can't adjust to tank what dps are attacking either. I want to know how much time op takes to clear a dungeon. The way she describes it would take 40+ minutes, which just isn't reasonable.

OP, this is total nonsense. You can look at the aggro meter as a tank and see which mob you are losing if you're cycling through them.

You can easily target assist by binding the option to R3 on your controller. You target a dps/tank then you can press R3 to switch to their target.
