afaik (according to various translations) you get a buff that lasts X seconds long and when you're hit for all your health, you live @1 and enter a zombie stat where you're unkillable. Within the time of that zombie state, you need to be healed to full and that will remove the status. If you're not healed to full in that time, you die. So you don't need to be at full by the end of the timer, just within it - not hard to do with a Bene/Lustrates/Cures. It's no Hallowed Ground, but it's a good immunity CD, at least if that's how it works.
I think Livin dead works like everyone said here. But big question is:
When DRK is with "Zombie status", he still receive dmg?
If yes, Livin dead will be something like Holmgang. While enemies bash you, your healer will try to make you go 100% hp.
If no, then something more like Hallowed ground. < I want like this, lol
I must say english is not my primary language, so if you find some grammatical or syntax error, please tell me and I will edit my post. Thank you!!
hopefully it's like HG when you're a "zombie"
I doubt it it would be like a hallowed ground. you will continue to take damage just not die from it. if anything it is a little worse because you have 0 HP while the WAR has 1 :P
From what I understand its a 15-20 second buff and if at any point you take lethal damage you will stay at 1 hp (similar to holmgang) for x amount of time and induce the zombie state after the initial 15-20 seconds. Whether the zombie state has any other effects similar to holmgang's bind and knockback immunity is unknown.
The only factor here is the cd timer. Holmgang is 180 seconds which is decent for things like soloing akh morn and cyclones in t10 but I feel Holmgang in those situations is more of a defensive cooldown as opposed to an actual "Oh $%^#" button. They did mention in the LL that aspects of every job will be tweaked and reworked to suit HW content so here's hoping that Holmgang gets buffed to at least 8 seconds if not 10 seconds.
Forget the 15 second invincibility, I'm over here rubbing my hands maniacally over the fact we have a way to punish hasty/bad DPS players and come out on top. Can't call it being a bad tank if we gain HP and MP back for it.
Speaking of...a lot of abilities saying they consume MP. The skill rotation is going to be pretty big the higher we level, may even have to split Attribute points between VIT and PIE. I can see it now, two sets of Enmity building combo, then probably a few MP rebuilding ones.
It sounds better than Hallowed Ground. Based on the description it has the same effect of 10 seconds of invincibility (zombie buff) that auto casts if you reach 0 while under the effect of Living Dead. That eliminates the animation delay, which is Hallowed Ground's only weakness, in exchange for marking you for death. Worth it imo.afaik (according to various translations) you get a buff that lasts X seconds long and when you're hit for all your health, you live @1 and enter a zombie stat where you're unkillable.
