I wanted to say that these entitled "I am better than the rest!" should just prove that to everyone and go raid difficult dungeons that are enough for their skill level, and not waste their time with newbies in low dungeons.
But then I realized that they would have to have friends to do so... :X

That said though, reading a guide before a Trial should be more common than it is.

..Yes I've been seeing this a lot, at least on famfrit, but only for those PFs. As an inexperienced player myself who has yet to do some raids, like BCoB/FCoB, the primal extremes, etc, that "Bonus 100 sol" I hope doesn't draw any negative attention my way.

This community is clearly not new player/novice player friendly as it should be.

Even worse are the ones that just left once that newbie notice pops up.

Do you know how many Aurum Vale/ Dzamael Darkhold/ Amdapor Keep I have to abandon because of this?

But when I tank these things, even with newbies, everything seems to go fine. Like, I don't get this trend that you're afraid/annoyed to clear with someone new.

    I dub this phenomenon, "Newbiephobia."

The fear of getting an inexperienced player in the team.

It got pretty annoying hearing people say "Just read a guide" if someone said they were new and wanted some quick tips If people want to treat the game like a single player one why don't they just play Final Fantasy XII?

The game plays like an MMO and you don't have to deal with those pesky other players.
I find that the particular server players are from makes a big difference in this regard. I'm from Shiva an most of the people I group up with on there or interact with in general tend to be fairly nice, understanding, and helpful. Players from other worlds I get in DFs though tend to be less friendly to say the least.....

Maybe DD and AK, but AV is a pain to run - people have dropped just because it's AV.

And tanks inexperienced to certain dungeons, I notice will approach things carefully and not try to pull 2 rooms, most of the time.

Sadly while I agree someone should let me know they are new, at the same time I can understand why they stay quiet as alot of people can lash out and kick them or leave them which is pathetic, Someone admitting to being new to something isnt done out of fear of being critisized which should not be happening in an mmo.

Personally I will always give advice and help a new player through if they need it or ask for help, my motto is to treat those how you expect to be treated.

I envy people who get to learn a dungeon or a trial by themselves.
But to be fair though later trials have a ton of "Simon says" mechanics that takes trial and error.
I wish the game was more based on player/job skill rather than how good you are at dodging orange circles but that's for another thread.

And purple bright lines, and red circles with cracked earth textures, big reddish violet colored voids, huge donut shaped circles where you must stand in the middle, and the invisible markers that require you to judge the radius based on the associated effect's particle radius.

Well yes, it would be nice to be able to learn by trial and error.
Though some fights don't really explain why you died. Garuda for example. I don't think you can tell without a guide, or a word from your fellow players, that you have to keep the pillars alive, and of certain height, or you will die instantly.
