I'm making a list of servers where housing is impossible to get, because I feel it might be actually a p wide spread problem. If you are on a server where, due to all plots being gone or horrendous economic nightmares, you can't get a house, please respond and I'll update the OP.

I'm still trying to make gil for a personal house, but I've been doing it at a steady pace due to there being no land anyway (Unless you have roughly 50 Mill to drop on a large)

what exactly is an "economic horror"?
Last I knew, Levi had 0 in Lavender Beds, like 3 in La Noscea, and maybe 8 in the Goblet. But that was a month or so ago.

Economic horror i guess the person mean difficult to make gil as on adamantoise the prices are sinking that low its not worth making stuff for example raptor leather is less than 700g, alumen is less than 300g, black alumen used to be 800g and is now 250g etc

I wish these were the prices on cactuar.. right now everything is 150gil or lower for parts and even HQ items are teh same as NQ and only for 500g max.

What about the finished raptor leather pieces? If those are only 2-3K for NQ then the prices sound right for razor thin profits.

SE's original housing price formula took into account that gil was harder to come by on some servers; when housing was first released, a small house on Lamia was around 2 million gil, which was easily doable by our small free company of a dozen. Large houses were 30 million gil, which only the biggest FCs were able to afford (and a gilbuyer in one case, who was caught and the FC house was lost since it was purchased with ill gotten gains.) However, Lamia's population quadrupled over the last year, making us one of the fattest, youngest servers, kicking us up a level in housing prices. Unlike Balmung, however, housing didn't sell out immediately. We had houses available until just the last few months.

In the case of Masamune, the economy is in bad shape because a few dozen players have many many many millions of gil, but don't participate in the economy. So Masamune got put into the highest housing bracket from the beginning, and all the sprouts and non-rich players are left squabbling over the scraps. (Sort of like the US economy these days.)

That's really not an economic horror..
Even on Jenova, server with arguably most inflated prices on stuff don't get that kind of price...

It's really hard to get more than about 30-40k for a stack of gathered mats.. Unless they're really high tier, but even then.. it's usually only the 4 star mats that fetch a price over 1000.

What you're hitting is not an economic horror, you've just been in a huge economic bubble this whole time.

To hear tell of Masamune, their AH is borked and it's impossible to sell items at a reasonable price. However, there's super rich dudes on that server somewhere. Since the housing market is linked to the population's average gil amount, the housing prices are sky high with no way to get enough money to buy them.
