What if you have a job unlocked, queue pops for that job (i'm assuming it tells you what you'll be playing before going in so you can switch to that job before entering) and then....it turns out you don't have the weapon for that job specifically in your inventory to switch to....or you do, but you don't have the proper equipment for that job and instead you're just using the weapon and running around naked?

Something to consider is you'd have to ensure having the equipment for each job you can possible get, currently in your on-hand inventory. Which means getting a system like this to work, may be a bit more complicated.

Maybe the roulette could have it's own interface where you can drop Gear Sets into empty slots for all the classes you can use, and it takes the data from those to determine what jobs it can pull on? if you don't have the job equipment available then it simply isn't possible to queue Job Roulette with it.

I don't think it needs to be quite that complicated... Just have some kind of interface where the user can select which jobs they wish to have in the Roulette, with a minimum requirement of at least one job from each role. If the user mistakenly selects a job that they don't have the proper gear for - well, that's their bad. They'll time out of the Duty Commencement, earn a strike for the day, and know better for next time.

I've made this suggestion before in other threads regarding the duty roulette.

Basically a DF "Job roulette" option would just give a tick-box of "jobs to consider" based on the highest level gearset not missing parts.

So if you have a gearset for every job, but you're missing the relic weapon for the job, it won't consider that gearset. If you have multiple MH gears and sets for it, it will consider the one with the "optimal" (eg SCH would pick Mind, SMN would pick Int) equipment combination where all the gear is present.

Another solution is having it lock all the gear for which you've queued, so you can't remove the MH/OH gear from the armory while queued. Then it would just "auto-optimize" the gear for the job/class selected.
