There is no guarantee they will not touch your account after you close it. There have been instances of them surreptitiously reactivating your account.

And also, many have gone through the CnB cancellation process and not been granted their cancellations.. As well as the fact that CnB retains CC information indefinitely and has been known to reactivate accounts and continue billing on them.

Also, this. This is another reason why I cancelled my CC on file with CnB.

Seriously Kailea, did you read the entire thread? There are excerpts of people having been scammed here, there are statements describing the antics of CnB, there is even proof of fraud reports that I linked.

Sue them where? In U.S. court? They are based in the UK, and their office in the U.S. is but for appearances. They are in the jurisdiction of authorities in London, which isn't saying much - I have very little faith in anything actually happening in the UK.

It is expensive for a foreigner to sue a company in London.

It is this exact reason why ClickandBuy specifically avoids antagonizing U.K. cardholders sometimes, and goes after foreigners, if the reports are anything to go by.

International law makes it very difficult to sue under those circumstances. The blame will keep getting shuffled between the service provider (SE), the payment gateway (CnB), your own bank, and any other entities that even looked at the transaction. I've been told suing SE results in "$100 or you can keep your account, which do you choose?"
