Think before you join someone's clear party.

Just wondering, who the hell are clear parties designed for? If the only purpose is to clear it once for whatever reason, but only people who have cleared it before are allowed to join?

The common saying goes that the trick is finding 7 other people is the hard part. These parties are to find those 7 other people when you've practiced enough to known the mechanics yourself and you just need competent people to help you real quick for that clear. Ideally these should be quick parties that get the win in only a few attempts.

Wouldn't people who have been to the last phase but have not cleared it fit into that category? My group have been to as low as 2% in t9 prime before wiping. It's not like you reach the last phase you're guaranteed a win immediately.

That's not always the case. I make clear parties for my alts to get them through content I've done before.

3.0 clears all this for future content. Now I know there are those that want to get into SCoB or FCoB but honestly the only true way to get this done is with a FC or a LS. These raids just aren't meant to be accessible to everyone without seriously nerfing the fights entirely. I've grown to accept this. Sure you may get that one party that is clear material but they are so uncommon that I don't do DF/PF for Coil unless it's a fight that's seriously nerfed. Maybe other have had better luck than me but I've had more success with a group I know than with randoms.

No, it's one person that feels they are ready to clear looking for seven other people that are willing to help. A lot of times the hardest part of clearing a raid is finding seven other people that are able to clear the raid. Plenty of clear runs that I've been in have done well enough that they turn into farm runs after, usually to the tune of 3-5 clears.

She didn't call anyone out specifically, and her post is well written and fairly polite. I don't see how she's being a jerk at all. I agree with the OP, actually. I've been in both clear and farm runs that suffer from this. You have seven people that are there for quick clears and one person that in a lot of cases hasn't even watched a video. Sneaking into a party to get your clear without any knowledge of the fight whatsoever is just making yourself into a liability and is most likely going to end in you getting kicked and blacklisted. If you want to learn, make a party to learn. If you're looking for a carry, go buy a clear; plenty of people sell runs. Don't sabotage someone else's clear attempt in the process.

People... there are learning and practice parties for this content appearing on my server a lot. And, if there is NOT learning or practice parties, you can make one during peak hours and surely people like me will join to help out.

That's what people do. Only wish. Nothing else. You have to work on making it true. I unlocked t9 about 1-2 months of scob release but couldnt practice on it until it's 1 month left until fcob release. It was due to roster problem but I didn't run to the forums about not being able to press a button and then having the game summon me 5 other people (we were a constant 3) that wins the fight for us. For 4 or so months we went through a lot of people, many didn't even have the drive to even get to t9 but we eventually got a group going and the taste of t9 clear before echo was oh so very sweet.

4 months of recruiting and testing and 1 month of real attempt isn't the ideal way to go but that's what it took and we certainly didn't try for only 1 week, 20 mins a day of searching before running to the forums whining and pointing fingers at 'elitists'. We've lost some people again after our t13 clear due to irl issues but we've gone from 3 constant to 5-6 constant. People whine about others leaving early in an instance but the game's df system has ruined the players from ever doing the work of finding good people that they can stick with for a long time. People who do stuff with you through the game's progress instead of just saying hi and engaging in gaia tier chat with you and that's it.

Don't put your faith in the general game population that cant even /assist tank target, a simple task in simple dungeons, that even the general populace of World of Wa***** got right.

Go 8/8 4/4 with players you know and trust. Otherwise keep this whining to yourself.

Even in FCoB, in t10/11 I see this quite often. A simple screw up of mechanics can screw you even in the last 1% of boss HP. I've also had my fair experience of failparty when going to "farm" content, which is imo just as bad as blind runners joining clear parties instead of learning parties.
