I think people are forgetting how fast it is to lvl up in this game, took me 23 days from EA to finish 2.0 storyline, with watching cutscenes, so 30 days roughly to complete up to 2.55.

In FFXI to unlock advanced jobs you needed to get to lvl 30, which took about 1-3 months depending on your playstyle and when you joined game (later expansions made it faster, as I'm sure later XIV expansion also will).

Biggest roadblock I see is the storyline duties, but Yoshi already said they are going to add feature to allow us to queue into duties with parties of less than 4 with Heavensward.

I could easily see that too, since launch they've added low lvl roulette, and challenge log, both which vastly decrease time it takes to lvl up. Plus at 2.0 launch there were so many issues with just getting online, from getting 3107 for 2-5 hours straight, to constant maint, plus no guides being out on how to complete anything. I feel my 30 day estimate is very liberal for how long it should take a new player to get into Ishgard.

Level 50 in a week, sure. Complete the story line up to 2.55 to enter, yeah right. Playing 24/7 and staying sane, doubtful.
