    it's more concerning more than embarassing, it means that less of 10% of the playerbase have complete this content so far. what can we understand from this?

    the content is not adapted, too hard or don't interest the playerbase? that can be partially the answer.
    the content is poorly added to the game? another possibility. what do i means by poorly added? i'm talking about the learning curve... actually the learning curve is a mess. nothing outside coil is...challenging. the dungeon HM are a joke.

    i have seen someone say that the playerbase is bad.... i will say, yes! the playerbase level is low. but the reason behind this is the fact that the game challenge is only in the coil. when while the fanfest of london someone did ask if they plan to make content hard for 4 player, Yoshida did answer that part of the difficulty was to find and play with more people. it's true, but i feel he underestimate the fact that the player can't train if they can't face content that become harder over the time.

    i feel a loot of player will be happy to have a type of content at 4 that will be challenging. allowing them to train for become stronger and understand more the game.

    other point i feel it's needed to avoid to have only one endgame pve content. addind another type of challenge at 4 player can maybe help player to find another activity, more important maybe with time allows them to create a static more easily. since it will be possible for people to meet faster via 4 man content.

    on a personal note, i have abandonned the raiding, i find it dull and not appealing. for me raiding is not the repetition of a dance that must be perfectly execute by the whole group. i do prefer to have my group tested, not on it memory but on it capacity to face a danger or adapt to the unknow like an error or a sudden lag that did make someone make a mistake. a group must'nt be good to coordinate and execute a pattern, but to adapt and play together. for me the raiding of FF14 arr is not different than a Dance dance revolution game. is not a raiding fight.... too much script and too much "instagib" capacity... it's a poor way to increase the difficulty of the game artificially.

    but that my personal thought about it, i know some people like this content like this, it's them right. ^^

    Exactly, when I log in I gather, I craft, I head to the Saucer - I might do a roulette or a Crystal Tower raid for my daily/weekly. Coil and EX primals are stuff I consider one and done for the story(currently cleared through Shiva EX and Turn 6). You're assuming everyone logs in and spams PF every day obsessively to clear, and I assure you only 2% (from the survey) of the playerbase does that.

    Heh, it seems silly to dump majority of the games resources in content that only .02% does.

    In Heavensward we are apparently getting new raids and all new never before seen types of content. The devs are not dummies...they have to have this data and change things up a bit so more people will participate hopefully ^^;

    Raiding bring out the worst in people. Patience has also a limit. Some stuff in there is highly frustrating, small mistakes can destroy hours of practice.     I do think raiding is not for everybody, because it takes the game to a different level. Not a lot of people can handle it, and these numbers are a reflection of that. I understand how frustrating it can be for players who only want to enjoy the story and thankfully that will be fixed in Heavensward. Lack of will, motivation, elitism, toxic behaviour, lack of commitment, complexity of the raid's mechanics, lack of time. These and more, are crucial factors why people don't usually raid, not the only ones you mentioned or the OP mentioned.

    I'd love to do Final Coil, but I'm still stuck behind the T9 gate. 'Cause good luck starting a group in PF that are okay with the "BONUS SOLDIERY" message.

    Idk how I feel about this tbh. I personally would welcome more challenging content outside of coil, but it hasn't been historically welcomed. Were you playing when pharos first got added? Within a day it had such a reputation for difficulty that more often than not you'd have 1-2 people instantly leave if you went into it.

    I guess I'd love if it worked out how you lay everything out, but I'm not confident that the player base would look at a challenge and think "Cool! I can test myself against this!" I think they're more likely to pretend the content doesn't exist, abandon if they ever end up on it, and will end up having more experience asking for nerfs on the forums than with the content itself.

    I'm also not sure what the solution would be to anything I've said, so... yeah. Maybe too many players in this game are just too sensitive and/or bad to deal with legitimately challenging content.

    I get that some people just don't care about coil, but I've personally seen a lot of people struggling at consistent coil practice or unable to get in a run with experienced players because they haven't cleared the content being ran...

    It really reflects the mentality of people that just do coil so they can whip out their epeen and stroke it in front of people. The same people that are constantly talking about themselves or interjecting their achievements into group convos so everyone will notice how elite or progressed they are.

    I know all about that mentality because I used to be one if those ppl, until I woke up.

    Look through this thread and youll see many comments from groups like bluegartr saying stuff like: you expect us to carry everyone?

    I mean get real man. No wonder JP is leading the charge... We got the most selfish and smug uppercrusts representing the na/eu with amazing classiness(cynicism intended)

    I'm surprised that latency hasn't been brought up yet. People in Japan don't have the latency issues that people outside of Japan have.

    DAMN, you beat me to it - was just about to mention we shouldn't forget that Japan servers are in Japan, while NA means almost the rest of the world. Which might have something to do with it.

    Anyhow. I've been aware I'm a pathetic and awful player, but if it makes you feel better, you're welcome to rub it in. I don't mind. I don't care for raiding; pretty impossible to do if one's alone anyway. /shrug
