That's a very underhanded debate tactic.
You said you did it because you were bored. Let's not have any illusions as to how that sounds. Sometimes people get bent when they see what looks like someone trolling the run. You didn't cause a wipe as you did your part (working harder than you needed to), but let's not pretend that in a small way you weren't screwing around. I wouldn't take issue with you, but other's do. Knee-jerk reaction, see below.

He even unwittingly revealed his misunderstanding of how insignificant the stats really are that WHM gives over CNJ with the pictures he posted comparing stats. Passionately defending a stance without being informed, to the point where you act as if your opponent is misinformed when they actually aren't, is quite insulting to your opponent.
Just reiterate the point. You were goofing off (by working harder than you needed to) and it didn't have a negative impact on the run. It could have, and I'd bet that most people doing the content in classes do have a somewhat negative impact.

So if any aggression did leak into my responses that I did not notice, don't you think it was a little justified?
Did you check my response to Elusana? Don't you think that, with the rash of terrible runs people are dealing with that some folks are justified in being annoyed if the see a potential troll? Yes it's a knee-jerk reaction, but at least there's precedent for why they have it. You didn't live up to the bad expectation, and that's good on you, but there's a reason people have it.

Debates aren't known for having the most tense-free atmospheres, and being overly passive in a debate is a great thing for your opponent to take advantage of, especially when your opponent is being aggressive and prodding at your character. And lying in attempts to get support is really quite childish, and misunderstanding but standing by inaccurate posts that still make your opponent look falsely bad isn't much better.
Of course they aren't. And as it continues the tone starts to sound much worse and there comes a desire to win the argument. I do it all the time even though i know there is no possible way to win any argument here or anywhere else on the internet. The competitive switch is flipped and I have to step back.

If the people in the run had given me about 10 minutes to show that I would be fine at my job before resulting to bashing and immaturity, they would have known that. In the end, they just made themselves look silly.

Edit: I understand completely if people would have thought I was a troll in that run at first. I was expecting people to accuse me of it even, though I knew they'd be wrong about me causing problems in the end. The very vocal people who were bashing me personally only made fools of themselves though. A real life sigh, with maybe questions in the game for my decision to queue as a CNJ (as one person did in the group) would have been the best reactions. They would have prevented themselves from looking silly when I did my job well if they had reacted this way. The people screaming noob ended up making themselves look silly when they screwed up though.

People on the forums however have the advantage of hindsight. The people who are blaming me for things here know better, yet still continue to do so. I understand people in that run being more skeptical of me at first because they did not know any better, they did not know if I would cause problems. People on the forums here know that I did my job (supported even by a witness to the run) and did not cause problems and some are still accusing me of not doing a good enough job.
