It's rare that I've had someone purposely go afk or troll or w/e to force people's hand in vote kicking them (maybe I'm lucky?). It's also rare that I've been asked to vote kick someone (also lucky?). I'm not enforcing a rule or forcing anyone to do anything. I'm not stopping them from leaving. Why should I waste my vote kick on them? The responsibility is on that person if they want to leave, not anyone else.

inb4 use the party finder for your group.

    spoiler alert:

    I have.
Yes this has happened in at least a couple of dozen DF parties I've been in. /sigh. I'm STILL trying to get the damned thing done.
Have started a PF for it numerous times and never get more than 4 others joining.

Guys, it's only 30 mins penalty. Eat it and take a break from the game. Go run outside, browse through internet, read a book... Ya know, real life stuff for 30 mins.

I don't often rage quit. but other day I did quit, not through rage but through losing faith in all ffxiv humanity

stepping into an EX roulette dungeon, with a blm who came in with the new rotation of
    Flare, Transpose
    Repeat

I don't doubt we could still have completed the dungeon, but I'll just eat 30 mins than have to watch that abomination, cannot bear to see my precious inner BLM defiled so

Oh man... I watched another BLM do this other day in EX roulette. Maybe the rocket quick path for gear progression laid out by SE does not really give time for individuals to learn their class. They were even doing it on single targets.

They don't have to leave. If they want to leave, they can. Trying to make that someone elses responsibility makes them a child... You can defend that behavior all you want. It wont change this fact. Why would anyone want to encourage their behavior by giving into these childish demands?

Your response here proves that you aren't the adult... lol...

If you can'thandle the play of randoms, why not make some friends and join with preformed groups? Common sense and whatnot...

lol I'm not sure if you think it's me asking for a kick but it's not. I never have, never will, and as long as I have time irl to complete a duty I always finish it without leaving, regardless of the level of suck present.

I'm also not going to waste my time trying to teach people responsibility for their actions by screwing myself/party over though. You're not their parent and you refusing to kick them isn't going to teach them anything, it's just going to give them some attention before they fake dc or afk anyways.

Call me a child all you want but the reality is that I'm able to get over this behavior and move on, and you're not because you think you're the police or something. I think I get it now, you get some self-righteous feeling that you're somehow teaching them responsibility when you're not teaching them shit because of the other options they have for leaving without a penalty.

    Lol nice XD
I myself am a noobish blm that often forgets rotations or get off with it (me no dps) and while leveling was caught in a tamtara run only using blizzard ("You know fire does more damage?") but that was due to irl distraction so I just kept spamming that one button that wouldnt make me run out of MP and I wouldnt have to afk
