With drg and mnk i can feel the impact of every attack. Full thrust and true strike sound and look like theyd hurt
But nin attacks just kinda float. Like im not sure if its even hitting them. Only trick attack looks and feel right

Drg and mnk rely on strength, so their attacks should actually feel like they put some muscle into it.
Thief and Ninja rely on their speed (dex), so while their strikes don't seem like they have much weight behind most of them, they should feel like they're fast and accurate, hitting the enemy's vitals for damage.
Ninja is about quick little slashes that add up after a while.
You don't need to be feeling the oomph.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
Yeah, I noticed this with Rogue right away. It bothered me enough that I put off leveling this class for months. It's like there a slight mismatch between the visual attack and the sound of the attack.
eta: To clarify, the slashing sounds themselves are okay I guess, it's the timing itself that seems off to me. Like you'll hear 4 slashing sounds while the character swings once with each knife.
But still, a slice through flesh wouldn't have quite such a 'tinny' sound, I wouldn't think. It would be a duller sound due to the muffling from the body.

I guess se was aiming for the light quick attacks that don't shout hey brah i just smacked u with my fists or how u like dat axe drop on ur skull.
Nins aren't supposed to feel as heavy as punches, swings, thrusts.
They are more slashy slash with a little kicks here and there.
Monk's & Dragoon's attacks should feel like you're getting hit by a Mack truck. Rogue's and Ninja's attack should feel like you getting sliced up like an Easter ham.
It's not really surprising. You're using daggers in a slashing motion. It's less about impact and more about bleeding your opponent to death. Monks use their fists, which is more of a blunt weapon, and dragoons use polearms with weight behind them. My personal feeling is that it was intentionally left open for a potential Dancer job, since a lot of the Rogue combos look very elegant in their movements.
Except Aeolian Edge.
That one looks like a last minute desition :/
Its a simple jump like a frog while spinning!
Also, Mutilate little jump animation after the cuts is kinda "huh?"
Well, its fun to actually time your Jump to them...
I like the animation of both Mutilate and Shadow Fang. As far as our bnb, I enjoy those too, although I don't really stare at them anymore. Ninja is definitely #1 for me when it comes to overall fluidity between their actions - it feels exactly how a Ninja would feel for me.
I love the motions' elegance, makes me want to weave the attacks together.
If you want an example of a power hit with knives, SA makes for a great finishing blow to a monster.
