I have ragequitted a few times but I would never ask for a kick. When I see the thing is not gonna happen, I apologize and leave and take my 30 minutes.
But I don't like people who start spamming duty abandon after one wipe..
I was in a WoD today where we wiped 5 times total and I was verbally abused for just making a general complaint about it. I didn't quit, but I really did want to and would have if it wasn't for the penalty.
I meet lots of these people who insist on trying to force everyone to try over and over and over again, oftentimes the same people being part of the problem causing wipes. I'm not one to quit often, but shaming the people who don't wish to carry a group is pretty crazy. Shaming people who simply complain after spending 10 minutes fighting a boss down to 5% only to wipe due to people ignoring mechanics is even crazier.
You'd think everyone would understand the feeling more...60 runs without a drop, constant wipes on almost every run....unless those people who don't understand it are part of the problem and want to shift attention away from that fact, as seems to be the case in my experience.
In short, it's like DoctorPepper said. If someone asks to be kicked, kick them. Be a good person and help yourself at the same time. They likely won't put in a full effort anyways. I know after wiping over and over on old, casual content mostly filled by players who have run it before, and after doing a billion runs only to be given the bird by drop rates, my enthusiasm and willingness to put up with people not trying and not understanding mechanics certainly declines.
I even have yet to live through being bound by Level 150 Doom. Every time people just stand there and get us all killed.

How about some rules for rage abuse kick someone? Start with that...
You can just start spinning Angra Mainyu if you wana get kicked. Works damn fine i tell you

I NEVER Rage Quit before Patch 2.55, when CT3 got open to be looted...
The first time i rage quit, was because the MT (no firsttimer) starts spinning the first two bosses and turning the cerberus AWAY from the door. (the reasons why many player have died during that run)
Even after that, the MT still wanted to hold the aggro and a Tank-Fight aka Aggro pulling with the OTs started...
I asked my groupmates to kick me, they understand this and kicked me.
After that such things starts to happen more often, i gave up trying to tell them what to do, because nobody would listen.
I had over 42 runs before i got a new drop, every run ended with 2 or 3 wipes and constantly waiting to get replacement for ragequiter, also, if i wanted to be kicked, people still haven´t rolled on the loot and i had to ragequit, because they still haven´t done it after 5 mins.
CT3 has started to be pain to run it and i have still to do it to get, hopefully, my last equip piece from there.

The other day, we had a tank in Steps of Faith. We wiped on the first try but did pretty good. The tank proceeded to sit down and wait for his kick, by then we were in the middle of the fight.
That being said, you do NOT need 2 tanks for the trial. He went on being rude and obnoxious so we decided to just fail the 2nd try and wait out the trial time with him. Of course he dc-ed. Knowing he would be back, we waited and true enough, he was back within 5 minutes. He went off again and we proceeded to finish the trial without kicking him. He never came back but we finished nonetheless.
TL;DR - If they troll to be kicked, troll back. Too many people are getting their ways because people are impatient. See it as educating a very stupid child![]()

I think if you've already been in the instance for 30 mins you should be able to leave without penalty
There is a reason they are called rage quitters and that is because they are quitters.. Mostly big babies. Seems most of the rage quitters are the real problems with a a run to begin with. I dont know how many tanks have left after a boss in a dungeon and we failed only to get another tank and walk through it. Rage quitters quit because they fail allot and are usually the ones being carried. Some think they are better than they are because they are carried other know if they dont have a perfect party they aint getting through because they are horrible and can not accept it.
Most after a while know if it is useless and are willing to abandon.

I don't understand the mindset of being held hostage. No one is holding you hostage. You are free to leave at any time. Your issue is that you don't want to face the consequence of your actions. Be an adult. And don't expect others to help you work around a system that is in place for a reason.
Funny thing is, I've been through tons of terrible parties/raids. And usually things smooth out after the first couple of rage quitters leave. Interesting that.
