100000000000char...Well they made the same mistake with the December update NMs, the mid-level NMs, and now the dungeons.
If the HNMs were 21~24 hour repops, NMs 1~2 hours, and the dungeon like a 24 hour re-entry...
No one would be bored ever. You would do it, have fun and being able to do it again would keep you logging in.
As it is right now there is almost no reason to continue playing until another patch.
As a company I can't understand SE.
Yes their player base is suffering and they want to keep people happy... But they can't keep them occupied and happy?
It doesn't make sense.
Its so incredible.... spend months, money and ppl to develop contents that have 1month life.... incredible.....
And its even anti-economical for a company
They did a good job making the fight a little more harder, sure we need balancing ranged classes, melee classes and heal-ga spell's enmity (maybe whm will have some abilities to solve it), but again i cant understand how they can make a dungeon that needs a "run" trick to finish it..@@'

And that there is stuff that I enjoy and prefer ~ like make us have to kill say 2000 coblyn, or 3000 marmots to earn a piece of gear. Or even add in a ton more NMs designed to be solo/duo'd, but make them more random on where they appear, and we'd have to kill it and others a dozen or so times along with a couple thousand other mobs to earn a single piece of the best gear.
Its a massive time sink just like raiding, but I'd much prefer doing that than raid. And as far as raiders go, I know tons of them that despise grinding mobs, {they do as little as possible to get to the cap just to raid} so it ends up being a win-win for everyone having their own method of obtaining high end gear.
And then of course there are always those raiders that will say, "but why do you need that high end gear if you don't raid?" If its in the game, why shouldn't I have a chance to earn it too, but allow me to do so by means of how I enjoy playing, not by a system forced upon me. Raiders only make up about maybe 15% of the population of any given MMO, so why do only they get the best stuff, while the other 85% don't...it just doesn't make sense.
I really wouldn't mind getting some of the high end gear to go back to old content and blow through it for fun, and kick the snot out of mobs, NMs, or bosses that game me a hard time earlier. Who doesn't enjoy getting redemption...LOL
The players polls were a total fluke They have and will do what they want no matter what the fans want.So apparently they are going to be making most rare stuff come from raids, and are going to mess up the claim system (see http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-world-content)
I'm assuming that would mean no sky or sea like areas, no HNM dragons, no roaming nms (whats to stop me from generating mass hate and kiting it away from those fighting it to grief them). etc.
So if this game becomes heavily focused on raids and doesn't have an expansive world like FFXI had, will you still play the game?
Note: This is not a troll or doom and gloom post. FFXI's expansive open world was one of the things that set it apart from other MMOs.
Personally I'd leave for tera or a game with better raids like the new Star Wars. I love FFXIV but raiding gets boring since its just the same repetitive thing over and over and over again for months till a new one is released.
I love the battle system changes no they need to drop the generic class system and add some real FF classes/jobs w/e you wanna call it.
You lie to yourself not that many play this game as it is, but hey tell youself w/e you want to try and keep the faith.
i will be so happy if the apply the rule that will not allow inactive players to post on the forums...
and another thing thats bugging me is that i see what ppl post... and then i check their lvls...

raid always better that open world nms, idk why you like waste your time for claim a hnm with 0 stratetgy only tank spankI will quit if the game becomes too predictable.
You always know what you're getting when it comes to other MMO's. Raid, raid, battleground, raid, more quests, higher level cap, shinier and bigger. More of the same for 3+ expansions.
Right now this game is not very predictable and the developers have quite a few different contents planned for the future. But if it ever comes down to only expecting the same overall structured raids, sidequests, level cap raises and arenas with small twists to be released year after another, I'm out.
