"Lord Manderville" is Godbert, Hildibrand's dad, not some other unrevealed character. He has shown up in a Main Scenario cutscene before, but he can't use his superpowers in situations where he has to stay clothed.

Just one scene in the Ul'dah arc of Heavensward with a fully in-character, out-of-clothes Godbert is all I ask.

I of course know who he is.
But he has not appeared in any of the last cutscenes, and being an important person in Ul Dah that is strange. I think likely he has some important part on the story to come.

I think Godbert is the only remaining Syndicate member on our side, so it wouldn't be strange if at some point we end up working to get his official support.

Now that the full Heavensward opening is out, it's pretty safe to say that the Ul'dah story won't be put off until 3.X. I'm fully expecting the the Dragonsong War, the Ul'dahan revolution, the new Garlean Emperor, and whatever nonsense the Ascians are up to will all converge in a final showdown on the Floating Continent.

The Ul'dah stuff'll hopefully be started by 3.1 at the latest, if not something like 3.05, I bet a lot of people are itching to destroy the Syndicate

What I meant was, I'm pretty sure it'll be a part of the 50-60 story, since Omega Weapon has already been confirmed for 3.0 as well. Why else show Lolorito in the opening, if not to say "this guy's going down?"

I just finished the 2.55 storyline.

OMG! SO MUCH F****** BULL SH**!!!!!

Raubahn gets fed up with Teledji Adeledji's crap and kills him. YES! Thank you! Unfortunately, from that point forward, we are met with an onslaught of stupidity and cowardice.

After watching the Sultana get murdered and Raubahn's arm gets cut off, Merlwyb and Kan-e-Senna just say "welp, after watching Raubahn's betrayal unfold before our very eyes, we're gonna abandon our old comrade in arms and the leader of the armies of Ul'dah in his direst moment of need to die."

Raubahn then frees me, the warrior of light who slays gods and could kill Ilberd and every last f****** Brass Blade and Crystal Brave on my own. I also leave him alone to die.

The scions all throw their lives away for nothing (well, I'm sure they aren't really dead but they make it look like they are gone). Papalymo could have just shut the stupid gate to block the reinforcements and went with everyone. Thancred, Yshtola, and Minfilia stay behind for no good reason. Remember: I COULD HAVE KILLED EVERY SINGLE ENEMY PURSUING US! Why do I just run away with my tail between my legs and let my allies throw their lives away?

Then just to add insult to stupidity, the Ishgardians tell me they can't grant my request for asylum until they are no longer under threat of attack. WTF?! I just saved their d*** country from a huge dragon and have been recognized by the leader of their military as a hero! They should be thanking their gods for their good fortune that I have come knocking at their door and will be on their soil to help defend them from future attacks.

Please, SE, stop writing this kind of story. It seems none of the good guys except Raubahn had a brain or a spine and we abandoned him like a bunch of retarded cowards. I can put up with lame or mediocre stories (e.g. Most of the rest of this game's storyline), but not this kind of stupid where the heroes so badly lack any combination of intelligence and courage.

There is a saying we have in America: "all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." Watching a story like this just makes me mad, especially when I have a character in the story who is the one letting evil triumph by doing nothing. IRL I'm not powerful enough save the world or do much at all. One of the reasons I like games and fantasy is to be able to be the kind of hero I could only dream about being IRL. Heck, that's why we like Superhero movies so much. I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. I can put up with my character simply not being powerful enough and losing, but I can't put up with my character lacking the courage to fight.

After seeing the full movie trailer. I discovered that this dragon is not Nidhogg. Just another class of dragon we didnt have seen before. The video shows a lot of dragons 100% like this one and also that this dragon is small, obiously Nidhogg is much more bigger.

If you spend some time traveling around and talking to NPC you'll see the other GC leaders aren't doing nothing. The reason they couldn't get involved and aid Raubahn was address many times in this thread already. It wasn't cowardice. It was doing the hard but right thing. If they had acted there they would be helping an assassin who was breaking Ul'dah's laws attempt to kill another city leader illegally.

As for your character, what do you think your character was going to do? Fight the entire standing army of Ul'dah? Do remember the current evidence has set you up as the assassin of the Sultana. Who was going to lead Ul'dah afterward? The sultana was dead. If the syndicate was wiped out, how do you think it would look if you tried to set Raubahn up as leader? The accused assassin of the Sultana aids Raubahn in killing the other leaders and seizing power? The people would turn on him. Imagine if the other GC leaders got involved. Then not only would he look like he had staged a coup but it would also look like he was a puppet set up by foreign powers with the aid of the Scions. We would look as guilty as sin in the eyes of the public.

The whole point of this was we had no good options. We had to retreat cause the only thing that would bring us a just and victorious outcome was one where the truth came out and the guilty were shown for all to see. To quote another saying "only fools rush in."

As for superheroes, they are always faced with such struggles. Why do you think superman has Lex Lothar, a guy without any powers, as one of his most well known enemies. Sometimes you cant win just by beating people up. This is the bread and butter of superhero movies. It makes the reckoning when it comes all the sweeter when those who betrayed us and smiled smugly see there world crashing down and know their greatest mistake screwing with us.

Keeping it brief: I've always been of the mind that a fade to white simply means a return to the Lifestream (that's still a thing, isn't it?), and a fade to black being unconsciousness.

If the Sultana and the Scions are suddenly alive and well, I would see that as simply bad writing, and the worst kind of deus-ex-style garbage. This isn't Homestuck, you know.

What opening are you guys talking about? I see you guys mention funeral in a trailer as well, but not a whole lot of it. Did I miss something here?
