Why is it such a foreign concept to some people that other players might want to go into a fight or dungeon blind DAY ONE of a patch? This is actually one of the more enjoyable experiences that SE offers its player base. But there is always that one person that is screaming out mechanics and lording over their precious MINUTE ONE clear by raging at all the "noobs". Congrats! You're king of shit mountain in Trial Roulette. Treat yourself to an ice cream sandwich.

I understand why they put this trial on the roulette.

That being said, this trial being on the roulette is why I'm not doing that roulette anymore.

The main point of Roulette is to help others progress. Odin and Ultima (Hard) are not required for progression, and so don't show up in Roulette.
Explain the Gilgamesh and Ultros fights being on it, then.

The same could be said about the IQ of people in CHrysalis, but I still vote that it is fine for these to be in roulette.

As time goes on, it will be easy to do even if noone is listening.

Yes, people may want to discover things on their own, but people who already know the fight and want others to be informed also have that right. If you want to go into a run, only to ignore any advice of your party members, you're probably going to get some negative attention and possibly kicked.

Now don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean people should be rude to those who don't know the mechanics, especially when they haven't been explained. But once the mechanics have been explained, there is no reason to ignore them.

If you want to go into a blind run with mechanics completely unknown to all involved, you'll have to create a separate group for it. Just like someone wishing for a group composed completely of people who already know the fight, will have to make their own group as well.

Don't get me wrong, but I am referring to DAY ONE of a patch here. Not going in blind a week, month, year after content is released. This may sound crazy, but some people actually expect to wipe to DAY ONE content and quite enjoy the learning process of coming together as a group and figuring out how to down something together.

Someone acting as the resident harpy makes it considerably less enjoyable.

Why is this even being brought up? Honestly. Oh it's too hard to teach people the fight, no, it's really not. Ugh, I hate getting this on trial and having to go in with new people. It's not even that old yet, and guess what, you were new too. I did a trial yesterday and immediately people left, but 6 of us stayed and completed said trial. Grow Up. Instead of seeing what trial you are in and immediately giving up because it's hard or oh, it takes too long, maybe we should try and help others along or hell just strive to be better and do the trial.

Unless you're the very first group to clear the content, you might be getting people in duty finder who has done the content and wishes to spread their knowledge of the fight to others to make the run smoother.

Why, oh why, is this so hard to grasp? Some (nay, A LOT) of people thoroughly enjoy learning a fight as they do it. The only time this is considered acceptable behavior by the community is on Day One (or poss Day Two) content. For someone to not even allow this is beyond me. Someone "spreading their knowledge" on DAY ONE content kind of takes the fun out of the whole ordeal.

Yeah... that time has passed for this particular trial. But the idea of someone raging three hours after a trial has been made public is ludicrous.

I keep saying they need to add actual tangible awards beyond tomestones to these story trials. Especially since they seem to be getting more and more difficult.
With the Chrysalis and Steps of Faith, I was expecting them to finally buck the trend and introduce SOMETHING to give incentive to repeatedly do the trials, like decent necklaces or earrings, but they keep throwing story trials at us that have no tangible rewards beyond the initial clear. This goes for Praetorium and Castrum too. Though at least those two have cards...that are much quicker and easier to earn from a dude hanging out in Mor Dhona -_-

I disagree with you. As much as you want to muddle through the content, the instant you join the duty finder you're choosing to join with other people of unknown skill and experience. And you can't expect an experienced person to keep quiet about what they know if they believe passing on the knowledge is best for the group.

You're free to join the party-finder, and it can't be too hard of a thing to find on day 1-2.

The better question is; why are you attempting to argue such a thing, when the rest of the thread is about many many days after the content is released.
