(PLD) Phalanx - Self buff to increase damage resistance. Can be cast on self or party members

Playing off the name, it would be interesting if it was a sort of PBAoE buff that buffed you plus any party member in range and for every party member in range that got the buff, your buff stacked increasing your defense. It would potentially be a nightmare to coordinate, but conceptually it sounds interesting and kind of fun.

Or it could be an advanced version of Cover, when you link to any party members within range of you and for every linked party member you got a stack of a buff that increases your defense either mitigating the damage you are directly taking or helping to mitigate the damage you are taking for someone else.
