    Too many traits are wasted on just making an ability slightly better. Traits are wasted on abilities unless it scaling/balance reason (aetherflow, dot lengths to make time for combos etc..) or is a cross class ability is getting a trait to make it better for its source class. Otherwise just change the core ability itself instead of giving it a bandaid when it hits a certain lv. Rather have traits add interesting passives or new things to abilities then something generic like shorter cooldown.

    Pretty much every paladin (and warrior) trait is like this. Like, would Rampart REALLY be too strong if it was 20% reduction at level 2 instead of 14? Is Awareness really worth extending to 25 seconds? Compared to stuff like Firestarter and River of Blood, our traits blow. A lot of classes have this problem, but it really sticks out on the tanks.

    I just watched 300 for the first time and seeing the Spartans bash skulls in with their shields made me wish SE would give Paladin's more offensive abilities with the shield.

    I know in MMO's shields are typically used for interrupts, but what about a passive ability that gives PLD's the chance to get an auto attack with their shield, or another off GCD shield attack that increases the damage to Spirits Within.

    All tanks should get a passive skill that converts a 15% of your total Vitality to Strength.

    I personally stuck more to ideas for passives because I absolutely despise Ability Bloat in MMOs, that and I find that some of the tank abilities could really use a shot in the arm to make them more fun and interesting to use.

    Ok lets see somne new skills..

    -Warrior

    Traits:

    Steel Tempest: Gives Steel Cyclone a pulling effect that immediately pulls surrounding mobs with a chain, similar to how Holmgang use to, ontop of the warrior and makes them all get hit. 6-7y range, so it's just outside of steel cyclones reach. (Pretty sure the Marauder you fight in the Rogue quest line already uses something exactly like this, hell it's even called Steel Tempest)

    Also allows Steel Cyclone to hit twice, one with it's original hit, and second on the landing that 'shatters' the ground, hitting a second time but with lower damage.

    Fixes:

    Holmgang: Do something with Holmgang for the love of god jesus christ the skill has it's butt on backwards and it just really doesn't work out.
    Mercy Stroke: Give Mercy Stroke a small time window for the target dying instead of having it be the last hit. Especially with the way you can skill directly after the target is dead, or the animation still goes on and tries to use the skill, last hitting is just stupid hard.
    Foresight: Make Foresight less foresight and more of a proper 'oh crap' button. You'd think 20% armor would be nice, but its really not.

    Skills:

    New damage skills really. They're going to need something once Dark Knight comes in and takes over the big weapon scene. For example:

    Guillotine: (Off/ON GCD) Requires at least 1 Wrath to use, but depending on how much Wrath you have, it's damage scales. Something like

    1 Wrath: 200 Potency
    2 Wrath: 250 Potency
    3 Wrath: 300 Potency
    4 Wrath: 330 Potency + Ignores Defiance damage penalty
    Infuriated: 360 Potency + Ignores Defiance damage penalty

    + applies A DoT that scales by 10% of the hits potency.

    Supremacy: (Off GCD) Warrior lifts their foot, then slams it on the ground with shattering force while roaring towards the sky (Or just look really mean looking forward idc). When their foot connects with the ground, a strong dominant force blows out in all directions (Maybe a red forcefield or some kind of rage looking visual) and knocks all enemies within 5y back 2y, and stuns them for 2 seconds. If used in Defiance, it generates a crazy amount of additional threat. Give it whatever amount of damage really.

    Now combo that with Steel Cyclone with the Steel Tempest effect and you can yoyo the mobs every time the skill is up. C'mon, who wouldn't want to do that?

    3rd finisher to their riot blade combo
    More skills that involve using their shield arm instead of their sword arm.

    Give tanks a buff to reduce TP cost of all weapon skills by 50% for 20 seconds, or something. I dont need more tanking utilities, I want resource management.
