Calling 3 people a Special Task Force sounds so over-the-top, to me.

I never had a problem on Balmung, I assumed cause it was mostly closed, but a month or two ago it started to become more and more frequent. I can't even imagine what an open server would be like.
someone else suggested a method that has worked for me quite well, in your primary chat filters simply uncheck /tells so you don't receive them at all as well as turning the notification sound off. Then create an alternative chat channel that all it has is the /tells, you can pop over to it occasionally and check to see if theres anything important (unlikely) and you don't lose the invite / trade functionality that /busy causes.
this as well as putting it in my search window that /tells are off and if you want my attention you can use /shout or just invite me to a party for private chat.

Years ago... When the "Chrono Trigger Ressurection" was announced, it didn't take long until the project being publicly closed after Square Enix issued a cease-and-desist letter to Resurrection Games for trademark and copyright infringement.
If you check the information/general on the forum you may be able to see that they actually are taking actions against it.

It has been doing for months, more than one year to be exact. But it didn't solve anything, the bots are spreading and yet no changing for the actions taken against it.
We are all here with a threat in common, the RTM websites. These websites are the real cause of the spamming bots and illegal tradings. If we turn this petition to actually close the websites, we'll win.
And if they create more bots with new sites, I guess we already know what we'll do.
Imagine how this game can be with no spamming bots, with no source of their creation...

Consider that the 70 or so signatures so far is a mere drop in the bucket in comparison to how many are truly unhappy with this situation. Many who play this game aren't posting their unhappiness in the forum because most gamers just don't post in the forums period. That being said, I highly appreciate the cooperation and feedback you've all given thus far. Perhaps eventually, SE will hear our plea.
As I thought... We can pick one representant from each server... They can talk to each representant from each active FC in server... It may take a while, but properly organized it may be work, if we mobilize this to an important matter.

Lol, wat?
Organize on such a scale for what? A petition that will do nothing to actually change SE's policies with how they handle the RMT? A petition will do nothing. They already know it's an issue for the NA side of things.
SE will do what it pleases concerning the RMT when they have the time and the whim to do so.
Yes, because that's their game. Of course it would be given a cease and desist order. It's someone else making off with their property.
The websites? Really? The ones who can operate a business as they do? RMT break no business laws with their websites. The PLAYERS break the rules by buying from them.
The ones that steal the CC info, that's bad news but even so, how can one prove anything about the companies that operate the sites?

So, today has been by far the worst day for me in regards to RMT. I logged in (had a 16 person queue) and when I finally get to load screen, I hear the /tell sound effect ding 5 times. that's 5 RMT tells before I even fully loaded in. Been on for a couple hours now, and it's yet to stop. putting myself to busy status isn't very viable because I have a lot of things going on that I need to be able to /tell and party up for. I think if they got rid of this crap, balmung wouldn't be locked nearly as much as it is right now. Buyers, sellers, they all need to just gtfo.
