Formal Letter to SE about RMT situation.

The way I see it, it's late into 2.5 and 2.X in general. There is a new horizon ahead. People are uncertain about what's to come, not in terms of quality, but in terms as what their gil will be used for. So they're hoarding. Crafters craft less, buyers buy less, and in general people are squirreling it all away. So RMT sees their numbers going down. They're used to getting a certain amount of clientele, so they up the ante. Being the cultural shining examples of Far Eastern grace and Engrish, these sweatshop mongrels only understand one thing, push advertising, get money. More advertising, more money. (cont.)

(cont.) Or so they think. They aren't REALLY involved with the community and the Western/digital culture that are the NA servers. They might not realize how much their push-button-more model aggravates the general populace. They don't need to, because they don't care. There is only one concern, and that is generation of income. They know it's "illegal" but they know there's a price of doing business, lost accounts, setting up PCs, some networking, maybe some VPN stuff, etc.

As long as it is more profitable to do what they do vs. SE creating some kind of clever idea to combat and thwart vs. the big one: People not buying gil, then they will continue to set up their bots and continue to annoy. They don't realize and/or they don't care. Because money. The kind that's real.

someone else suggested a method that has worked for me quite well, in your primary chat filters simply uncheck /tells so you don't receive them at all as well as turning the notification sound off. Then create an alternative chat channel that all it has is the /tells, you can pop over to it occasionally and check to see if theres anything important (unlikely) and you don't lose the invite / trade functionality that /busy causes.

this as well as putting it in my search window that /tells are off and if you want my attention you can use /shout or just invite me to a party for private chat.
