I just don't understand this logic at all. So quick to quit? This Steps of Faith Trial is literally trivial the second you walk into it. My first attempt we quickly realized that it was a Stone Vigil type fight. (I did this fight in DF 2 hours after it launched) We downed it after our second wipe. Once we figured out the insanely easy mechanics we ensured the rest of the group knew what to do. By our third attempt we killed the boss with our eyes nearly shut. It really is that easy. Its all about team work and communication. I don't understand why you people can't communicate. Leave your feelings at the door and figure it out.Initial impression of this fight: I really, really don't like it. If it doesn't get toned down a notch (which I imagine it eventually will be), I can easily see a lot of people not even making it to Heavensward.
Threads like this one popping up don't surprise me one bit. Nor do all the responses touting how easy it is once you know how to do it (wow, so pretty much like everything else in the game)
Isnt that bad, won on third try. 1. step take time and tell ppl what to do!!! no reason to rush! Also expect 2-3 try to get mechanics. 2. step send weak dps on cannons!!! strong dps on boss. We had 1 tank gather adds (well he was very well gear`d so no issue to hold adds) 3. step do the mechanis!!! every tower have to hit (so far I would say the tower DONT hit adds) 4. step when boss hits the blue "wall" focus on boss and ignore adds!!! No reason to fight big adds if a tank can hold it. AND do not raise!!!! its waste of time. when u die just return. No weak status!

Yesterday (I recorded this but I'm not sure if I will care to upload it) it took two tries. The first try we were down to about 1% before it failed, so it was just a matter of better coordination.
The second try I got stepped on by the dragon like 3 times because everyone was running around and people kept running out of healing range. Fortunately this wasn't a "healer dies, party wipes" type of Trial.

The world and gaming is coming to a very bad place where people just want things handed to them and no one wants to put in the hard work and time to accomplish things. Suck it up #getgood. This isn't even difficult at all I wish they actually made challenging fights in this game.

After finally beating the Steps of Faith trial yesterday, I still stand by my impression that the trial itself isn't difficult. It's just gimmicky as hell, requires the party to take the time to communicate a strategy and the party to not consist of brain dead gold fish.
The strategy used by the group I was in was as follows:
1. 2 dps assigned to cannons & snares
2. Myself and another Monk were assigned to go ham on Vishap & LB
3. 1 healer assigned to Dragon Killer
4. 1 healer assigned as primary heals
5. Tanks assigned to adds (& boss)
We beat the trial with very few Vishaps. ^3^
Step 1: Communicate & assign roles
Step 2: Not be brain dead & follow assigned role
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
Well of COURSE this trial is hard! The dragons aren't your enemies! Your party is!![]()

Not even hard... you need to communicate.
You mean you can't 1-2-3 your way through a piece of content? I'm shocked. This game really needs more fights that require some semblance of skill/using your brain, outside of FCoB.

Yoshida and his team has been working really hard to make the community closer, so he made this fight as a teamwork 101 but most of the people in duty finder are unbendable me my myself type of guys and makes the whole thing a complete nightmare.
I finished this duty 5 times yesterday helping friends and in DF and it just needs teamwork, i can bet that 3.0 will have more teamwork mechanics so people who only think about being the best by themselves are gonna have a really hard time.
