As for going to CPP to level, when I go over there my gear was in no way strong enough to keep me a float. Getting kicked out of fate parties for having crap gear and dying all the time is no way to go.

That's a bit weird. I'll go FATE grind in N Than in full crafting gear without problem. Plus, it's not like I'm the only one. You, your wife, and your two chocobos and you should have 0 problems. :/ At this point, your FC should've lept to your defense. Like someone from my FC mentioned recently, they're like your extended family. ^^
