Being Called A Botter

So recently I got back in this game and pulled a couple all-nighters on my vacation to finally hit 50 on my Ninja. During this time I chatted with many people in Coerthas, even made some fun conversations about the expansion coming out. I was pretty active in my talking when people we were around.

I fate grind for my 50's because to me it's easier and I have more control over it. Yeah it takes a little longer but to me it keeps my brain going. During this time I was bombarded with friend requests, trade requests, /tells and such accusing me of botting to which I replied to them all assuring them I'm far from it.

It got so bad that I had to put on the busy signal... that's when the shouts started...for about 3 hours I got into lame internet fights defending myself that I was just a player with too much vacation time on his hands.

Fast forward to today. I have a party finder up for Shiva EX. Only one person has joined the PF in the last 2 hours and me and him have made good friends chatting. I have received about 15 tells from different people saying "Why would anyone want to party with a botter?" and such.

Why am I being punished for having way too much time on my hands? I get it, go outside, enjoy life etc but i spent my vacation playing a game i really love and now I probably have to change servers now... sucks man. guess i'll only play 45 minutes a day.

Shouldn't let what other people say about you bother you so much. Definitely don't need to switch servers.

All those people who were spam telling you and in shout, you have a very legitimate reason to report them for harassment and you very well should.

Ouch, that really sucks OP.
I realize that people are sensitive about botting and RMT but it generally isn't that hard to differentiate between a legit player and a bot. ( If people have two brain cells to rub together, that is.)

Maybe it's just me, but something just seems off with your story. If what you say is true, then you should, in fact, report all of these people for harassment.

I don't see much off with his story... from the sounds of it there were a lot of people shouting at him, too many to bother reporting?
I mean, someone probably thought he was a botter, told their FC, etc etc. It's easy to have these things spiral out of control.

Which is a crappy thing to do. It just really gets me down is all and I dunno if I should log for a while or just say screw them and keep playing.

I'm not even on your server. Calm down, gurl. Just saying it sounds weird to have a portion of your server accuse you of botting when you were supposedly chatting and making friends the whole time.

I've been called a bot because I don't respond to inappropriate /tells and I'm not exactly a chatty cathy in dungeons, haha.

And lately, I've just turned off tells from my chat windows since SQUARE ENIX has got a stick up their butt (DO YOU HEAR ME? Probably not....) about implementing some sort of /tell filter or controls to stop this non-sense.

Your as bad as the people you claim harassed and made false claims against you, they claimed you was a bot according to your story and you just falsely accused someone of wrong doing which they are not guilty of since that person in this thread who you quoted is on a different world server. You have lost all sympathy from me.
