If it makes you feel better, I haven't been in a dungeon in months nor has my Pld ever been in a dungeon lol. I choose to avoid the @55 hattery atm. I play to have fun not to watch other players be immature and abusive.

Your as bad as the people you claim harassed and made false claims against you, they claimed you was a bot according to your story and you just falsely accused someone of wrong doing which they are not guilty of since that person in this thread who you quoted is on a different world server. You have lost all sympathy from me.

Was farming fates the only thing you did the whole time? I ask because that would not cause people to look twice at you ordinarily. Even being online for several days would not draw attention as many people leave the game logged in even when not playing. You must have done something else to cause people to grow suspicious of you.

Most people suspect a bot when they see the same player, in the same gear, at the same exact spot performing a clearly scripted routine over indefinite periods of time. If you were not doing that then no one would look twice at you. What did you do to draw people's attention?

This is not true. People will use BOTs to farm FATEs if they don't want to waste the time tediously leveling jobs. I've known someone personally who openly admitted (though in voice chat, never in game :/ ) that they used a bot program to level all their classes with solely through FATEs. We didn't stay on friendly terms for long, but you can't really report voice chat conversations to a GM. I tried to find him actually botting to report (I don't care for cheaters...) but he was never online when I was, so I just let it go.

I was referring more to obvious bots that players might pick up on. I'm aware that complex bots do exist for everything short of raiding in this game but most players will not recognise those as bots. Someone online grinding fates over several days would not be recognised as a botter unless they were behaving in a very routine manner. If the OP was talking in /shout then even more reason why he would not be accused.

I'm trying to understand why anyone would suspect him of being a bot as it feels to me like he might be leaving something out that caused people to grow suspicious of him. If, for example, he lingered in one spot and only did one fate that spawned in that location each time it popped... that would make people suspicious. I suppose the question to the OP is just how actively he was roaming the map and pursuing fates.

If your story is true OP, your biggest mistake was responding to people in shout. Chat filters exist for a reason...

But...I agree with others here, if you were just doing Fates no one would have cared. People farm fates for hours at a time, all the time, leveling classes. All people care about there is clearing the Fate and moving onto the next. Even on my server, I see PFs up for Coerthas and North Than fate grinding all the time.

Your story just doesn't add up. If you were chatting and being friendly and active with the people in the zone...no one would bother you about being a bot, especially in Shout (since others would say something about you not being a bot). And once you say something back to a person, they'll stop accusing you of being a bot (unless you say the same thing over and over). And even then...no one is going to argue with you for 3 hours over this.

Sorry OP, but my "there's more to this story than what's been said" senses are tingling.

From what I know, bot move underground undetected. I have a friend who doing alchemist all night long and I feel weird then ask him are you botting? He replied "I macro all with few button, then I use controller while watching movies, he doesn't even look at the monitor screen he said, just pressing the controller button while looking at his television.
