Far more of a gamer than you. I have every single copy of every single Final Fantasy. Even the software copies on Steam and PSN so I don't wear away the discs and cartridges playing them. I have the physical copies of all the music I could get my hands on and a Black Mages album signed by Nobuo Uematsu. I'd tell you about my console collection but your first one was a PS2 so you'd not even KNOW half the names.
If you think this game is challenging, you've never really played a game. When you get yourself a job you should invest in the old school games.![]()

What kind of fan does that make you exactly..
And no I didn't bother to read the rest of the thread, because who cares.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
I have to add to the OP. Every player has a CHOICE about what games they play. If this one does not fit your needs then maybe YOU made a bad personal decision. Expecting everything to bend around you is rather selfish. Pick games that match your time/lifestyle better.
Dont call that a sweeping nerf, though interesting, must of cleared stuff before they put that crap in, echo style nerfs still persisted I see.Mist Raids: http://www.engadget.com/2013/02/06/a...ith-patch-5-2/
And the Echo like buff continued on all the way through to Siege of Orgrimmar, dunno if it's still active for live content (Warlords).
But the last raid tier that got a sweeping nerf was first tier of cataclysm, that was no echo style nerf, that was the nerf hammer to the fights directly like 2nd coil.
On a VERY related note.... sooooo glad Bloodbourne came out today. Can you even imagine someone suggesting they nerf that at any point of its existence?
That is more or less the selling point of the game (along with the Dark Soul series). Last I checked, FFXIV didn't try to cater to the extremes of the extremes (or at least didn't make it evident with their "theme park" approach). I don't see how this is very related when you're not only comparing different genres of game, but entirely different demographics too.
But that's the thing with a FF14... it has the ability to cater to ALL types of gamers. Why punish those who play it for one reason (in this case, difficulty) because those who play it for other reasons can't eat the entire pie? I suck at crafting, but I don't ask them to nerf it. Would that be fair to all the crafters who spent so much time, skill and gil into getting where they are in the game?
This person gets it, the ones who are doing raiding content are not taking any of the content away from everything else, yet there are those that want the change the very content that is targetted towards these players. But that's the thing with a FF14... it has the ability to cater to ALL types of gamers. Theres a poster above that mentions alienating the playerbase, apparently shoving away that are doing raiding is fine but when asking for 'new' players, I don't even know why new players are used as the example, its bad players not new to improve their game to join in progressive raiding is seen as a bad thing.
