I am afraid it is not as simple as "hard" and "easy". The trouble with making this a cut and dry issue is the variables. Circumstances people have to face as opposed to their allotted game time dictate what they are able to complete. Whether or not you believe this game to be "easy" already is irrelevant simply because not everyone views difficulty in a game the same way. Now if everything was as black and white as that compared to things like Everquest or Lord of the Rings Online then yes, ARR is easier by comparison. But XIV isn't meant to be the kind of game whose difficulty equates to those aforementioned and likewise. It is a game designed to try and keep everyone entertained as much as possible but it is also not possible to please everyone. It has been stated many times over that this is a fan service game, and it is. Now I suppose Heavensward will offer more challenges once we have it.

Difficulty is nice and all but if it comes at the cost of enjoyment then it is nothing more than a nuisance.

Far more of a gamer than you. I have every single copy of every single Final Fantasy. Even the software copies on Steam and PSN so I don't wear away the discs and cartridges playing them. I have the physical copies of all the music I could get my hands on and a Black Mages album signed by Nobuo Uematsu. I'd tell you about my console collection but your first one was a PS2 so you'd not even KNOW half the names.

If you think this game is challenging, you've never really played a game. When you get yourself a job you should invest in the old school games.
