seems like I'll have to retire my white mage permanently.
and ninja's new outfit isn't good either.

If people have such an issue with how this armor looks, why not just Glamour? Along with Desynth and Seals, this seems to be the only purpose of dungeon gear anyway
Again, why not just glamour? The system exists for a reason. Seems silly to retire a class over an outfit.
That wont fix the issue if they keep making robes for future content. Most gear that mages wear are other robes, <lv50 bilauds and some a handful of bikinis, suits....and that's pretty much it.

So you want, what? Armor?
People keep saying "we don't want robes" and posting pictures of enormously complicated outfits from other games.
Moreover since I can't find or seem to remember any robes that are similar to what we wear in this game in FFXI, i'm willing to hazard a guess that the abundance of non-robes in that game is due to design limitations, whereas the abundance in this game is due to not having that limitation.
Even moreover, items designed purely for glamour are increasingly coming into the game without class restrictions.
Rather than saying "I want something that THIS game has!!" maybe make a suggestion that would actually fit in this game? A lot of those "sets" from other games just...don't quite meet the aesthetic of FFXIV, and would look pretty silly if you don't have the fully set.
"More" of something is a good suggestion. "Less robes" probably just isn't going to happen. Mages get more robes. If they added fewer robes, people would complain about there not being enough robes anymore.
