I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
Yes, I quit playing mages because of I have nothing to wear. new patch updates, new robes for mages. I don't like being covered from head to toe.
I'm waiting for new attires, patch after patch, only see robes while other jobs have good looking things to wear.
don't say that I only care about the look because everybody cares about the look. that's why y'all glamouring your gears.
enough of these boring robes and give mages something good to wear.

I enjoy all the robes so far. But I also really like variety of course, and the exampled gear sets from FFXI!
I'm a big robe fan, but the clipping really grinds my gears :/
I miss the Iqkira/Genie Weskit look in XI. Tribal looking armor that gave tattoos all over the arms n stuff. Thats was cool.
This look is kind of cool too! I would so rather look like this, than wear a boring robe >.>;

I personally don't find the CT, ST, Green dungeon robe, or Soldiery Robes boring in the least to be honest. However, I agree with the lack of diversity in casters attire as they always seem to get sets that cover them head to toe and don't accentuate the pants/boots, etc. Also there should be more variety in skirts/shorter robes/ or a set that isn't a robe at all.

>_> Though I wish SE would realize, if it has a long coat, it doesn't need long boots, since 85% of the boots are covered up, you won't ever see them. If it's going to be a long coat, the boots should be short, same for short or open in the front coats, those need long boots so you can see them. Example? Ironworks healer and blm. The boots need to be swapped.
I love that BLM AF2 body is basically RDM AF1 from XI dyed black...what a tease SE. Still though, I do love it.
SCH AF2 looks pretty neat but...the top hat sucks, so tired of top hat. They should have given SCH a mask like the one below, since they went when the feathered shoulder pads to resemble a crow. Scholar in this game reminds me much of the Plague Doctors, and that AF2 almost actualizes that idea.

Good thing you can glamour the robes away
I'm all for more glamour options myself.
I would love some more end game gear designs that aren't just cramming every possible flourish and detail possible.
It's becoming difficult to distinguish them from each other in the mess of buttons, spikes and frills. Pull it back. Make it striking.
