Promote what? People joining existing FC's? Highly unrealistic to expect every new player to conform to existing FC's and does not address the issue new FC's looking to establish themselves.
So your solution, rather then see if they can reform the system to accomodate other players than yourself who does not care you just want to give up? First come first served for something that has so much content gated behind it is a terrible system. and yes, the relic example is a poor one.
I listed crafting and airship content seperate because there will be other crafting projects. For example the Wedding cakes and Vantilione cakes can be crafted as a group project then FC members can cut off a slice for the buff. This was mentioned way back in 1.0 so i'm hoping other such content will be coming.
Ok. let me elaborate on it. The FC I'm in is about 21 members, all of us were RL friends before meeting in the game. I was on this server from 1.0 and was merged here from another server when they condensed (i know I've gone over all this before in the other thread you commented on but here we go again...) The core 10 of us were on here from 2.0 launch the rest came here to be with us. 3 of us are direct family members (that will cost me 80$ minimum to transfer just the people in my household) let alone asking all of us to transfer at their own expense and I really don't want to break up our group for a house. As a FC we have close to 16mil, personally I have 7mil, let alone what the other members have, that is a LOT of item management and hoping the prices dont get completely undercut. Way to risky to try and transfer ( I also know that retainers can also carry over some gil but it is still nowhere near enough.) And no, a house is not worth all that BS, I'm not upset about housing just disappointed and a little frustrated that the point of availability is continually ignored, excused and dismissed. Yoshi-P addressed the cost many moons age but still has not addressed or even acknowledged the issue of availability. Just a "we are looking into it" would be nice.
Yes, it has to be a little frustrating for them too to see housing wards empty while others are full to capacity since day one. Hope they can figure things out.
You had been commenting in the other thread and I felt that most of what has been said and brought up before had already "addressed" the things you brought up. I also felt that it was going to be a little pointless to waste all this time replying when the points I made can be dismissed so flippantly. There are so many reasons to to add wards or change the system entirely that making excuses for this system just makes me shake my head. Sure, this system is great for people on a low pop server, with lots of gil, playing solo or with friends willing to FC hop to find "the right one", and who already have a house. I'm not one of those people though and I doubt I'm alone.
EDIT: and as i figured, this whole post was wasted effort.
