Omega is... probably not going to be fought before the expansion. It took a lot of work to get Ultima Weapon working, so I doubt Omega Weapon will work right out of the box either. If anything, Adeledji is going to screw up royally and the Omega Weapon will be seized by some other party. Alternately, his plan all along may amount to selling it to the highest bidder, perhaps even Garlemald.

I was suggesting that his hand was forced and he tried to activate it too soon. Possibly damaging it worse in the process. Think like the Proto-Ultima parts you fight in Pretorium rather than the completed ultima weapon. By my theory he may get it "Operational" in the sense that he could jump in the cockpit and MAYBE fire some basic weaponry. But he'd never have any hope of firing it's signature Omega Ray. My thoughts are that he'd try and fire it, resulting in Omega breaking worse, and then have to resort to a back up plan of some kind thus starting a ph 2 battle. Possibly not even a trial as it could almost pass of that way as a solo instance.
