The time limit is fine the way it is, with more time yes you can plan ahead more but the time limit is what makes the game interesting, any more time per turn and I feel like there is too much thinking time 30secs already feels long enough when someone wants to spend the whole limit making their move most players make their moves in less than 10secs so I really don't see the point in changing the the time limit it's only going to make games longer and players delaying moves when they could of made the same decisions alot faster.

It's like a game of live poker some players take like 10mins to make their bet but they could of done that same move in 2mins the only reason they spend so much is because there is no time limit but online poker is different you have like 30secs limit before your hand is auto checked/folded which is plenty of time to make your decision adding more time just delays moves and causes players to fully use their time.

However like with poker you can sometimes use your "Time Bank" (A reserve pool of additional decision-making time that a player may use) which I think is the best solution for Triple Triad instead of making every turn longer they should allow players to use some sort of Time Bank say 30secs of extra time, this allows players to have 30secs of extra time for the whole match and you have the option to use it or not in case one of your moves needs more thinking time as most turns can be played in less than 10secs.

It's not as though anyone would be required to spend any more time thinking. If you're ready in 10 seconds and want to make your move then, that's fine. It's only when somebody actually does want more time to plan their game that this even comes into play.

The 30 second rule would make a fine optional rule that could be applied occasionally, as a special (regional or match) rule. It just doesn't belong as part of the normal rules of the game.

On normal games, ones that haven't been expressly set to this "Speed Game" mode, there should be effectively no time limits at all. (If any time limit is in place, it needs to be long enough that it applies exclusively for knocking out AFK players, and doesn't apply to anyone who's actually playing TT. So set that to several minutes, but make exceeding it an automatic forfeit of the game. It should also be exclusive to PvP games, as there's no need or reason to protect NPCs from AFK players.)

No. 2 hours for each player for their first 40 moves.

I'm afraid I disagree, I think the 30 seconds limit is part of the appeal. You're pitting your quick wits against your opponent's as well as your cards.

In many cases you get up to another 30 seconds to think about your next moves because the "all open" and "three open" rules allow you to see some of your opponent's cards. You can then anticipate your possible moves during his turn. In these cases you can be playing things out like "if I were him I would put card A here or there and if he does that I'll counter by putting card B there".

And when those rules aren't in play...there's much less thinking to do anyway since you can't see your opponent's cards, that means less numbers to calculate.
